I'd vehemently disagree.

And there's no doubt that Javie has the biggest set of cajones among the NBA officials. Nobody -- no body -- is more willing to make a big (and correct) call against the home team than Javie.

I have to despute that. Any ref has some bad calls, but Javie is one of the (if not THE) Best officials in the NBA. He pisses me off just as much as anyone else on some calls but I undestand all refs are human. The thing is its pretty rare that Javie calls a bad one once you see the replay.

I like Javie. He will T you up but he calls a good, solid game and he doesn't get caught up in the home crowd fervor.

i used to think javie sucked, but he really impressed me when he called game 7 against the mavs. the officiating was perfect that game when it had to be.

Steve Javie is by bar the best referee in the league. And i'm not basing it on him T'ing up 3 suns today. He is the one referee who i've always respected, and unlike Bavetta & Delany, he never bails out Stern's es (Lakers & Celtics).

BTW Bavetta is by far the most rigged ref in the business. I always envision the Lakers-Kings 2002 WCF series whenever i see him on the court.

if manu is healthy and playing like manu, you guys get swept. that's not smack neither. Only team that worries me is the lakers, because no amount of defense can stop kobe and gasol gives them an inside presence.

Oh and Javie is a great ref. I don't like bavetta, Crawford, or Nies (that dude needs to stop with the tanning). Javie calls it like he sees it and doesn't let external factors weigh in on his calls. Gotta respect that.
