I really enjoy their forums. I hope those don't change.
...not really. at least, under new ownership. that bag known as Eric Bauman finally got what he deserved.

i hope the company sues him for using ebaum.tvAccording to the blog of Ebaumsworld, the new owners have fired all of the original staff, including Ebaum himself!
Ebaumsworld is a very well known website that focuses on funny videos, pictures, flash games, etc. The website was launched in 2001 and since that point has held a dominant position in the humor section of the internet.
The website has been acquired by ZVUE, which upon acquisition has replaced all of the original staff. In the blog, Ebuam states he is not as angry about being fired as he is about the manner in which he was fired.
According to the blog upon walking into their office, the Ebaumsworld staff were greeted with a cameraman and the CEO of ZVUE. They were told that their office would be closed as a result of financial difficulties. Ebaum states that he and his staff were "held like prisoners" in the office while the CEO addressed each one of them.
Though a few members of the Ebaumsworld team were offered severance packages, they were declined.
ZVUE, according to Ebaum, has been falsely connecting his name with new material in an effort to promote the idea that Ebaum is still a part of the company.
Ebaum and his team have launched a new website, ebaum.tv, where he promises to continue to deliver "the best content on the web".
read the many people who love, i mean hate him here: http://blog.ebaum.tv/2009/01/so-this...went-down.html

I really enjoy their forums. I hope those don't change.
I have a feeling it'll be a bit more open to free speech, a bit less subject to raids/DDoS from 4chan/ytmnd/newgrounds/ABS/whoeverthe ebaumsdecidedtostealfrom
I don't get it ? Why was this Ebaum fellow such a bag? From the links you posted, it sounds like people support him. Did he do something to you?
he has a history of stealing everything and anything that is funny, putting a watermark with ebaumsworld.com on it, and putting it on his site, without any attempt for consent or citation. and then when the creators ask for some sort of acknowledgment or compensation, he ignores them. or threatens them with his legal team.
http://baumanletters.ytmnd.com/ - another example of how much of an idiot he is.
also, i really don't think you looked at the majority of those comments too closely, Paki.
LMAO i forgot you are a fellow YTMNDer.
i havent been on there in FOREVER. any good fads lately? its still hard to find any that compare to "safety not guaranteed" or "lol internet" and such.
YTMND's glory days are long past, the only good things that remain are old. But it's still up and running. I've made a few, as you can see from my sig. the forums are most definitely dead, no one posts there...however 4chan is still very active.
I don't get it, it's called Ebaum's World, the Guy's name is Ebaum, did he not own the site ?
How can it get aquired if he didn't sell it to them only to get fired?
he did sell it to them. $20 million. that's what makes it funny.
He sold it to them for 20 Million, then got fired ?
i wouldn't exactly say he got fired, he's got 20 million !!
I want a severance package from THAT company.
no you don't, cause none of his employees got one.
i used to love seeing all the vandalism on the "time travel" and "safety" pages on wikipedia. LMAO
roflcopter yeah and people would make YTMNDs of screenies of the vandalism.
did you participate in any of the great raids? (eBaum's World, Scientology, Shoe on Head, etc)
not really, just the vandalism of wikipedia. i did a lot of that.
Great to see that eBaum's World is still up to it's usual bull .

Ebaum Let-Go From His Own "World"
Posted by Stephen Johnson
Website Ebaum's World has been kicking around the Internet for over ten years. The funny video and picture, as well as the ephemera site has built up a huge following of users -- partially due to its owner and founder Eric Baum. The site was purchased by HandHeld Entertainment/ZVUE for $15 million in cash, $2.5 million in stock and a potential earn-out of $50 million in August 2007. Now that the economy has been hit hard, guess who got let go? Eric Baum. Ebaum himself. Read all about it on his blog.
Ebaum's World will keep turning without Ebaum, who launched a new site at ebaum.tv.
While it's always sad when someone loses his or her job, it's hard not to see this firing as a bit of poetic justice. Ebaum's World has long had a reputation as a site that makes money by stealing other people's content. It seems to me that turnabout is fairplay.
I talked to television's Kevin Pereira about this matter and Kper said, "I wonder if he's gonna steal content from his original site to put on his new site. He'll have to use a giant watermark to cover all the other watermarks on his videos."![]()
