As dumb as Amare is, no way the Suns part with him for an expiring contract and a shooter.

Unless its the Lakers offering

there would be a couple 1st round pics but if the suns dont think they can resign him after next year, its probably the same trade that they would be looking for next year.
personally i keep amare too, but amare has openly said he doesnt see eye to eye with porter and thinks his system is crap. he wants to join d antoni in NY so he can keep his stats up.
Unless Duncan is involved in the trade, I don't know why the Suns would make a move to make the Spurs stronger.
Shaq makes about $40M year, right?
And Splitter's rights.
If we want Shaq then we should say goodbye to TP and Manu....or just Duncan.
And if we want Amare we would need to trade Manu or Tony + Fin for him.
I'd say no thanx.
On top of those other replies, Amare would want to be the man and Shaq would want touches, no way they would get that with the Spurs.
s no!
However the thought of teams like Cavs, or Detroit getting these guys is kinda scary. Maybe the spurs should get one just to keep them out of everyone elses hands, but thats still not worth it IMO.
ha ha ha... tha was funny
Vaughn and the towel boy for Shaq.
Towel boy for Stata...
Uhhhhh...in the link you provided, Smith doesn't say anything remotely like that. He says Shaq and Amare might be traded, and specifically that Amare is unhappy in Porter's system and Shaq is wondering if HE might be traded. He says absolutely nothing about the Spurs at all, as far as I could tell.
I don't think Jayem meant to imply that the Spurs were a likely suitor for either player. I think he was simply posing the question after hearing the news.
