She did have the catalyst, that's why they were trying to protect her. But, Hiro went back in time to get his mother to give him the catalyst.
So that, in effect, made Claire's character useless.
He doesn't have the same power, in this episode he had to touch Suresh to absorb his power, and in the first season he just had to be around someone with powers to absorb them.Peter has his old power back. He copies the powers of others. He cant just fly at command.
Anyhow this show has me more confused then Lost now. All through the episode I was like wtf is happening.
Thankfully that last scene made alittle sense.

No that's not right, he absorbed the abilities and kept them, in the second season he used lightning from his hands and lightning girl was nowhere to be found. He also used telekinesis with Sylar nowhere near him and powerless

If ratings continue to decline this season, look for a lot of main characters to be killed off quick.

If Peter indeed keeps the power then explain why wouldn't he fly himself out of there?
