So I'm watching nba coast to coast and they bring up a interesting topic. Is it time for the suns to start thinking about the future now and trade off shaq, nash, amare? I think it would be a good move for the future of this team. They could get some decent players to build around for those 3. And also make the playoff race a lot easier for the rest of us lol.. anyways. Discuss.

IMO Dallas and Phoenix should both be doing this......however both have owners too stubborn to admit their involvement with personnel decision making has caused their teams to fall out of contention so both owners are going to pretend nothing is wrong.

Yea the first team that came to mind to possibly do this was for mavs for me.. but they are playing some decent ball right now it may keep going or it could end after the trade deadline lol so I'm pretty sure cuban won't make any drastic moves but who knows.. I personally think the suns should go for it.. get some great youngsters for for the future while nash and shaq and even amare have decent trade value still.

Kobe dragged Smush, Kwame, Odom and Luke to the playoffs out West. Yet Nash, Hill, Shaq, Jrich and Amare are struggling to procure that elusive 8 seed.

Shaq, Nash and Amare will be gone in 2010 whether they trade them or not.

I doubt Kobe would be making the playoffs if the conference was as good then as it is now.....remember where New Orleans and Portland were.

That doesn't change the fact this team is massively under achieving, which is cause of a lot of re ed . Amare ed to be more specific.

They're not underachieving, they're playing like expected. Nobody thought this was a 60 win team or anything.

This same team with D'Antoni and without Shaq would have 10 more wins by now. Not that they would win anything in the end, but goes to show it's not entirely a talent problem.

I really think Amare's problem is his bball growth was re ed with D'Antoni as his coach. He developed into a player with his Defense now instead of the D he is capable of.

Whoa whoa whoas! TEN more wins? That would put them at 35-10, and in the same class as the Cavs/Magic/Celtics/Lakers

They're only good on paper if Nash Shaq and Hill were in their primes.

Amare's bball growth was re ed by his mental re ation. Seriously though.....

Amare's problem is his parents weren't around so he was raised by Tupac CD's and needed to play in college desperately, but didn't. Unfortunately for him it won't be till he's 30+ years old before he starts acting like an adult. Unfortunately for the Suns, they don't give rings out for dealing with immaturity, so the fact Amare has a legit excuse to act immature doesn't change the fact he needs to be traded because of his immaturity.

Didn't they have back to back 60+ wins seasons a few years back? Maybe my memory is failing me on this one...

They were 37-13 at time of Shaq trade last year I believe. Maybe worse.
