Andre Johnson T.O.
vs.
Andre Johnson just might be the best reciever in the NFL, close to Larry Fitgerald. AJ is in his prime, while T.O. is creepin up on Social Security.
Bottom Line: AJ is a professional on and off the field, and will continue to provide leadership in the locker room.
Mario Williams Cowboys Defense,or lack thereof
vs.
![]()
Mario has started to show why he was the #1 pick back in '06. Mario Williams generates more fear from opposing QB's than the entire cowboys defense. Dallas's defense was terrible last year, especially in the 44-6 blowout at philly. Give the Texans another pass rusher besides Mario, like an Everette Brown out of Florida state, or julius peppers, then defensive line will be fierce.
Matt Schaub Tony Romo
![]()
vs.
All I have to say is give schaub a full, healthy season and texans will be in playoffs, unlike sir choke-a-lot at QB in dallas.
Head Coach Gary Kubiak Wade Phillips
![]()
vs.
Bottom Line: Kubiak can control his locker room. Wade phillips can't.
Texans Safties Roy Williams
vs.
Texans safties are decent, unlike Mr. Williams, who gets burned by a motorized scooter.
Texans needs in offseason: Cowboys offseason needs
Ballhawking safety, To cut T.O.
Defensive End, Break up Romo and Jess
Backup QB, Find a D.C.
Power Running Back Fire Wade Phillips
A miracle in the draft

I would be embarrassed for dallas sports too.

should I go on???
I'll have to agree that the Texans overall seem to be in better shape than the Cowboys.
But, to say Mario Williams is better than anyone on the Cowboys defense is re ed. Demarcus Ware is better, though I believe that Williams is a beast and a force to be reckoned with.
Matt Shaub is not better than Romo. That's not even close. Shaub has proven nothing other than he can be counted on to miss half a season, every season.
Kubiak better than Phillips, who knows? They both have the same amount of playoff wins. But, at least Phillips has been to the playoffs. If your case is that Kubiak has better control of his team, I'll have to go with you on that one. But, as to which one is better, there's no way of knowing for sure.
Texans safetys better than Roy? Of course, who isn't. But, remember, Roy hardly played this year, so it's a moot point. However, the Cowboys have a better secondary than Houston.
What you didn't compare, because you have to ground to stand on, is that Dallas has better running backs.
I will agree with you that Houston has a better group of WRs. Johnson is much, much better than old man Owens. And, he's a much better teamate.
Overall, Houston has a good future. They need to make the playoffs this year to be legitimate. If they have another .500 season this year, Kubiak has to go.
Dallas, well, they've got problems with team chemistry. If they can rise above those issues, and that's probably why Reeves was brought in (it's embarrasing that Phillips and Garrett need a babysitter), they can make some noise in the playoffs.
As it is, this is the first year in a long, long time that I have no post season hopes for my team. It's depressing as all .
I'm no Dallas fan (see what it says over on the left), but it's not like Houston has done ever in anything besides win a couple of NBA championships when Jordan wanted to play baseball.
Football team - Oilers were the original chokers, Texans consider .500 a wonderful season
Baseball team - sucks, always has.
Basketball team - hasn't been relevant this century
College sports - they play college sports in Houston?
So if you're embarrassed for Dallas, feel free to be equally embarrassed for Houston.
Raiders have more wins than both these teams in the playoffs combined this decade.
Ok, if you want to use that logic, then san antonio championships are tainted as well since jordan retired right???
Dallas has more athletes arrested than any other sports town, and that's just from tyhe Cowboys alone.
Cowboys are a disgrace to the NFL.
Texans in the league for only 7 years but have shown true professionalism, far more than Dallas will ever know.
Astros: Brought World Series to Houston for first time
Houston: Hosted Super Bowl twice, mlb all star game, nba all star game, dynamo 2 championships, comets 4 championships.

Jerry Jones should start a prison football team like in the longest yard. Oh wait, he already owns the cowboys.
2006 Finals: Mavs up 2-0, lose 4-2

LA has the Trojans, Lakers, and Dodgers so LA>>>>>>Houston.
This started as comparing two NFL teams, guess LA will have to wait for theirs.
You're in Oakland now?
This is the stupidest statement I've ever read in my life.
What the "logic" are you talking about?
Raiders are LA's team too. You don't know how many people fly out every week from LAX to go to a game.
Last I heard, they're still called the Oakland Raiders.
I must've missed the special news conference where they announced that they moved to LA.
They still are the LA Raiders to me.
Would that make you a Rams fan as well?
I don't think it's as far off as you think. Their stats are very similar with the exception of passing TDs. One of the more important stats is that Schaub was 3-1 in December while Romo choked his team out of the playoffs. I know you will blame T.O. for that but if Romo had any kind of work ethic or leadership skills, he would be able to keep T.O. in line and not have the locker room divided.
As far as Schaub's health, he missed the same number of games as Romo this season.
The Texans franchise as a whole have way more upside than the Cowboys. The front office is way better and they don't have an owner that insists on being the GM as well.
First off...@ trying to forget your own team's problems and make yourself feel better about them by pointing elsewhere.
Better than the Cowboys? No.
Since 2002:
Houston 40-72
Dallas 61-51
Dallas has been to the playoffs 3 times while the Texans have not been at all and while I agree getting to the playoffs and losing in the first round sucks, its better than not going at all. After all, the idea of sports is winning and, more specifically to pro sports, to win a championship and you can't do that unless you make the playoffs. Unless you are one of those dip s that thinks not going to the playoffs is ok because you might lose a game. Much like some of the Lions fans I meet up here.
All that being said, however, IMex sums it up perfectly....
Bottom line is winning in the postseason and neither team has done that in this decade, everything else is irrelevant.
There's no way in you're going to believe that, at this point, Shaub is a better QB than Romo.
You're biased because you hate the Cowboys and because you think that Romo is, as you put it, "Hollywood".
But, I will remind you that you were calling on Sage Rosenfels to take the QB job several times. The truth is, Shaub hasn't proven a damn thing. To be fair, neither has Romo.
But, Romo has at least been to two playoff games. And, if you really want to compare stats, compare stats since they both became starters and get back to me.
Romo missing games was just this season. Shaub has missed games every season he's started.
However, like I said, I will agree that there seems to be more upside to the Texans, mainly because they don't have to deal with the chemistry issues that the Cowboys have.
