lol I think Lebron cares, he wants to have the greatest scoring record in the greatest arena. He's got 20 points at the end of the 1st. I think he'll come close, not sure if he'll get it.

If the game stays close, say within 10, he has a good shot.

As much as the media sucks these 2 off as the best in the game, it's not that hard to see they have a friendly rivalry going on.

In other news, the Raptors are beating LA by 5 at halftime, I think LA's lack of size is showing a little bit in the game. Bargnani, Bosh, and J. O' Neal are eating them up each one has 12, 12 and 16 points.

Lebron is capable to play the last minute of a game even with a lead of 30 to ensure he has good numbers.

LeBron praises MSG fans before Cavs game
    By Bill Eichenberger

NEW YORK—What would LeBron James do if he were the general manager of an NBA team and had to decide whether to spend now or cut salary to put his team in position to make a run at big-ticket free agents such as himself in 2010?

That was the question before Wednesday’s Cavs-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, and James’ response was typically nuanced.

“If I was in that position where I felt our team was geared for the future and not the present, I would try to put myself in position where at least I had a chance to get a big-market player,” he said. “But you still want to win games. You don’t want to crash on the season that you have and disrespect the players that you have. But you always want to think toward the future. It would be a tough decision for me.”

Unlike his last visit to New York during which he was bombarded with questions about his interest in signing with the Knicks, that question was as close as anyone in a media contingent of about 75 came to that topic on Wednesday.

However, in response to another question, James praised Garden fans for their willingness to acknowledge an outstanding performance by an opposing player, whether it was Kobe Bryant on his Garden record-setting 61-point effort on Monday or James’ 50-point effort a year ago.

“One thing you can say about these fans is they love the game of basketball,” James said. “They’ve seen great players and performances. And they are going to cheer when they see greatness.”

In response to another question about whether the Cavs are getting the respect they deserve as legitimate le contenders, James lashed out at the all-star selection process, saying it was “a total slap in the face” to the Cavs that he is their only all-star.

“You look at the Lakers, they have two all-stars; Orlando, two all-stars; Boston, two-all-stars, San Antonio, two all-stars. These are all the teams in the league with really good records. Then you look at us, one all-star.”

James added that he was honored the Steelers’ Santonio Holmes celebrated his game-winning touchdown catch in the Super Bowl by mimicking James’ trademark tossing of the chalk.

“For him to think of that are making probably one of the best plays in the history of the Super Bowl, it was humbling for myself,” James said. “It was like, wow. For him to salute me like that was unbelievable.”
