If that's what happened, I totally get the outburst.

This will give you the other side.
If that's what happened, I totally get the outburst.
Yea, I totally understand it as well.
Harry is usually pretty good with the inside information.
It's pretty funny how quick everyone was to jude Bale.
Bale vs. BillO
EDIT: oops, already has it's own thread

Bale wouldn't yell that at a real man or he'd be in the morgue. Try that with Robert DeNiro and you'd be in a ing coma. Even old ass DeNiro would have Joe Pesci stab you in the neck with a ball point pen.
Actors.
It is pretty lame that some guy simply distracting you in the background causes you to fly off the handle like that. Anybody with a normal job has to deal with hundreds of distractions and other bull that breaks their concentration every single day, and if any of us went on a " you got" tirade like that, we'd have HR escorting us down the elevator with a box of our possessions 20 minutes later.
What kind of a man carries on like that, throwing a tantrum, like a petulant girl? If he really felt the dude walking into his line of site was so bad he either should've done some real ... or not. But to just be a made little pussy and freak out is unacceptable. That dude should have knocked Bale the out. Guarantee he could have.
could he have? if you're so ing sure then why in the didn't he? whether he's made or was intimidated that's on him. i'd go with the former.
cuz he's so ing ed with that ed up ing mother er, that's ing why! !
this troll is pretty clever. i think you're on to something.
Yeah, I know. I was joking
I must be, you keep replying!
This doesn't make sense, even if you're just joking.
Bale was pissed at the DP, not another actor.
And, if you read what really happened, the DP deserved it.
DeNiro, on the other hand, has had a rep of pissing off fellow actors and directors.
In Hollywood fantasy-land maybe, in the real world not so much.
If someone kept ing up and keeping you from doing your job effectively, you better believe people would react the same way.
It's not like people don't react this way in the real world.
It's just popular to on this guy because he's an actor, but in reality, this kind of happens all the time.
Christian Bale rules.
LOL an outburst like that? No ing way. And outburst like that might happen in the real world, but like I said, it would not in any way be tolerated or considered acceptable.
If Christian Bale was some generic supervisor in IT and the fat lady in the next cubicle over was constantly distracting him and he went on a tirade like that, his ass would be canned and nobody would dream of defending his actions, and no future employers would ever consider hiring him if they caught wind of it, unless he brought papers showing he graduated from about 10 different anger management classes.
In Hollywood fantasy land, he can go on that tirade and have people just laugh it off and start blaming the DP, in the real world he'd either be fired & blackballed or he'd have got his ass kicked by said DP.
Maybe you just don't have enough work experience, but I've seen it enough times where it doesn't bother me.
I used to work at Whataburger when I was in High School. The manager used to pull that a lot.
, even the principal I worked with when I was teaching would go off the handle on us teachers like that.
It happens.
It all balls down to someone constantly ing up and ing up in the process. I know that if I had told someone to stop doing some stupid and they ignore me telling them time after time, I'm going to go after thier ass.
Like I said, it happens.
, my plant manager makes that "tirade" look like a Sunday School class.
Bale kept on point the entire time and never deviated from the subject matter (the DP ing up the scene).
I dont know where you work, mono, but that stuff happens once a month if not more (that doesnt find its way to my office, I mean).
Honestly, I was guilty of having judged Bale outright from the clip. But the provided counter-story shed light on it. DP ed up, got called out on it. End of story.
Thats my celebrity worship for the year.
The problem with his comparison is it involves an IT guy and some lady, in this case it's some nobody knows, and the star of the second highest grossing film of all time, Batman.
Your comparison makes a lot more sense, Boss/Employee relationships and the like.
I'm not an actor nor do I profess to think or know what their motivations or line of thinking is, but I had a good friend that was an actor and a pretty good one IMO, and i understand what HE went through to have to be emotionally right for said scenes, then I 100% understand why Christian Bale went off on this clown.
Just because like that happens in the work force doesn't make it right. It's still a horrible way to treat someone, especially in a professional, business atmosphere. All it does is get things emotional, piss people off, and make others around uncomfortable. It's counter productive and bad for group morale and chemistry.
If you're the star it's not that hard to pull the director and this guy aside and get the worked out. The star has the pull, demand the guy stop ing with your lighting and demand he be replaced if he doesn't. Screaming like a whiny ass baby has no positive values at all - it causes people to lose respect for you and it negatively effects everyone involved.
What was counter productive was the DP walking into the scene time and time again.
The actor DID warn the guy several times, so what was there to work out?
