probably a good move for both teams, but bad for anyone else trying to win a championship
Posey was brought here to help win a championship. Its looking pretty obvious that's not going to happen. Posey is signed for 4 years, but we can dump his salary to Boston.

Scalabrine and Allen both will be FAs after the 2009-2010 season. Basically this gives us more flexiblity in the offseason.

Trade him to Charlotte.
Posey was brought in here to win a championship. Lol, how dumb is the Hornets FO if that was their mindset.
Role players do NOT win championships
Posey can shoot a nice 3, but the Hornets already had their soft jump shooter in Peja.
He was brought in for defending the perimeter/interior guard/wings and for intangibles, no?
They still haven't addressed that of a two guard they have. I mean, Mo Pete just isn't going to do it. Butler and Brown are good bench players. They need a starting two.
Injuries don't help either.
They haven't addressed the fact that Chandler/West/Peja is not a championship core.
Until they rid themselves of those compliments to CP3, they'll just be a good team that wins 0-1 playoff series.
Chandler is not a bad player to keep. Peja is not going anywhere. West is the one who needs to get traded. He's not suited to fill the role of a go-to player. I would trade him to Cleveland for Varejao and Pavlovic.
Try sending him to PHX. Scary thought right there...AMARE and CP3...
Amare would be nice to have. He has alot more talent than West. Hopefully, Kerr would make that trade.
Doing the trades I considered, we would have a lineup like this:
C Chandler, Hilton, Ely
PF Varejao, Scalabrine, Marks, Bowen
SF Peja, Wright, Peterson
SG Pavlovic, Butler, Allen
PG CP3, Daniels, Brown
We would have to release someone, but Varejao, Ely, Bowen, Brown, and Marks are FAs after the season while Pavlovic, Allen, Butler, and Scalabrine are FAs after next season. This gives us flexbility in 2010 to make a splash in FA.
