yeah no ...
it was like.. hey wtf!!!!!! oh no!!!! RMJ JR!!!!! Eat !!! F U Celtics..![]()
mason clutcher then anyone in the nba
You knew it had to be a quick shot to get the 2-for-1, but I am ashamed to admit that I wouldn't have wanted Mason taking it after the way he had been shooting. I should have learned by now.
True,
I was like noooooooooooooo, Big shot!
By the book, you don't go 2-for-1 in that scenario (although I'm not sure he even accomplished a 2-for-1 with the shot). Down one, you get the best shot possible, no matter when it comes.
Not the "smartest" of shots but I'll live with it.
That wasn't a 2-for-1. There was 20 seconds left in the game when he shot it. It was actually horrible shot selection and Pop would have benched him for weeks if he missed.![]()
But he didn't.![]()
Mason=Clutch Monster
it was a bad choice, an ugly shot, but he made it. props.
Coach Brown just said on the radio that Pop called that play to Mason
That is exactly what I was saying. There was so much time on the clock, no reason to shoot so fast. But he wanted it. Bad selection. Check. Huge dagger. Check. Have to love the mindset.
I thought there were 28.
Should have recorded the game.
I saw Pop call a top of the key pick-and-roll for Mason. However, I'm guessing Pop didn't love the leaning three-pointer with plenty of time on the shot clock ...... until it went in.
yeah, that's what i thought too. mason wasn't going rogue. that shot was the plan.
No, there was no 2 for 1 option there. Just a quick shot.
I wouldn't be surprised to see reduced minutes despite the heroics........
Not a lot of positives out of RMJ today.
The man has balls the size of grapefruits...![]()
I was figuring quick shot, since they didn't call the timeout off the rebound. When you have the defense on their heels like that, and you're down one, if you can get a quick shot I think it's a smart play (and I could have sworn it was close to 30 seconds left but I could be wrong). But you probably don't normally fire off a long three in that situation.
he's quickly become arguably the clutchest role player in the NBA..quickly took it away from Posey..
There was 20.1 or so when he shot it. There was no 2-for-1 opportunity.
0's look like 8's sometimes, what can I say.![]()
Maybe Mason saw the 8 too.![]()
Shots like that earn redemption and forgiveness. To think that we beat the Celtics w/o Bowen getting that involved is unreal....
Still, it makes feel queasy not seeing Bowen guarding the other team's better O players. Is he going to be used as a defensive sniper in the playoffs ?
