The funniest part was dan patricks shocked reaction.
actually, i believe that Kobe's comment was that Manu was the player he most enjoyed to watch.
what a coincidence. that's what i think, too.
This observation is wholly independent of what Mayo said this morning on Patrick's show, but I've been impressed with Mayo's demeanor and think that his personality should allow him to become a great player.
If that team can keep its pieces together and find a dominant big man to play alongside Gasol the Younger, I think they've got a chance to be really good.
Memphis is definitely looking good for the future, especially if they can move the overrated Gay..
Mayo, Gasol, and a lottery pick coming this year..
Yeah....They're looking good so they should trade their number 2 scorer for an unproven rookie?
where did I say that? I said they were going to get a lottery pick either way, since they're bad this year..
they should trade Gay for a veteran player, or a package..
Obvious. That is all.
He’s a rookie… that doesn’t mean much. I’d love to know Bowen’s opinion on who is the most difficult guy to guard for him… anybody knows?
Bowen would probably say Kobe (he did a great job on LeBron in the '07 Finals). I know Kobe has said that Bowen is the best defender in the league, and it wasn't even close.
Kobe giving the Spurs their due lets me respect him more than, say, Garnett. I'll always hate the Lakers, but I have some degree of respect for Kobe (not to say he doesn't annoy me sometimes).
dan was shocked he didnt say lebron or kobe
Kind of off subject, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Michael Jordan once say that the man who guarded him the best was our own Sean Elliott?
Never heard MJ say that, I think he has been quoted as saying whow was toughest, but I know it wasnt Bowen.

Arizona State's star player, James Harden, was on the radio the other day being interviewed by someone. Harden was asked to categorize his game or what player his style is most like. He said, Manu Ginobili. In fact James watches Manu and tries to pattern his game after him, his all-around game. James is a potential lottery pick if he comes out early.

I wonder how Bowen in his prime wouldve done against MJ in his prime.
Along those lines, I hear more and more analysts in college games trying to compare point guards at that level with Tony Parker. A lot of "that's a Tony Parker-like shot," or "He's got Tony Parker-like speed."
No, Michael said that it was Joe Dumars.![]()
Well, that's not true.
Keep spreading lies.
Hmm...could have sworn I heard him say Sean...and Mike's my favorite.
