You can't win em all. Was a good game though.

BTW why the is Ghazi (aka SD wannabe) going nuts? Kobe owned your asses even when he had Kwame as his side kick. Now that says it all...

1st half the refs let them play. 2nd half the started calling fouls. but it was both ways, lakers just started the physical D 1st in the 2nd half. after that, the calls went both ways.

So now that the Spurs and Lakers lost tonight, I guess the Cavs and Celtics are the two best teams in basketball "right now" lol.
Pretty sure the Lakers have the best record heading into the All Star game... but then again, why should you let facts enter into any of your re ed posts...

And the Spurs have the 5th best record in basketball.

But after the Boston game some got a hardon and thought Lakers and Spurs are 2 best teams in basketball.

They arent, Cavs nad Lakers are.

LOL you also need refs to swallow their whistles for the entire game, which is basically what they did tonight.

Utah gets away with a lot of on their homecourt, which is part of the reason why they have a great home record. I think some refs are fearful of Mormon retribution to be totally honest, you can literally hear the hatred and venom from the fans in most telecasts. I could swear I heard some guy saying "TRAITOR, YOUR DAUGHTER ISN'T SICK" in the background tonight.
Stop being a wimp you got.

Atleast lose with grace like the other Lakers fans.

Those ing Mormons get all the calls @ home.

Part of me thinks the jazz are a 35 win team if not for the whistles. After all, they play .350 basketball on the road

Good performance for the Lakers considering it was a back to back in Utah, which is murderous.
For once i agree with you. Those Jazz fans are crazy. They yell at every call...im sure that pressures the refs.

Im still trying to figure out who got fouled on the jazz when Williams dished it in for a and1 towards the end of the game.

there was one sequence where it went iffy. I remember kobe getting alot of contact on a lay up and when the jazz got it back, he barely bumped willams and he got whistled...the 3rd quarter definately didnt go both ways.

Lmao in a perfect basketball world the best team in the league plays defense every night.. give me a break!! why dont you go out and play like 5 games in a week and keep the defensive intensity at the same level... losses happen and blame what you want but the refs screwed us tonight!!

maybe, but its not like the lakers lost the third quarter by a huge margin. i think it was just utah making shots that they usually dont make and D williams' penetration.

good note for lakers, jordan farmar looks real good. i always said if he got PT, hes a tony parker in the making

Calls definitely went in favor towards the Jazz in the 2nd half. That DW foul right there along with the one where he dished to Millsap for a dunk and an and 1 near the end were obvious.

With that said, this loss goes on the Lakers for playing no defense at all. Kobe pretty much sealed our chances of winning by jacking up so many shots in the 4th when he wasn't on and was defended well. I didn't like how he kept shooting 3s after 3s. Lamar played very well again and had some huge defensive plays in the crucial minutes. Also hit clutch free throws as well.

Who makes these schedules..they had a tough road trip & barely any rest. They played last night & got into utah at like 3am. Thats too much to ask these players to do. I understand theres the all-star break but the NBA has to chill on the back-2-backs. NFL has it good haha..16 games & some players are still making 10 mil a season haha

Utah is always a tough out on the road, regardless of a back to back or not.

The Lakers were in this game till the bloody end, which IMHO is a great sign. When was the last time the Lakers actually got blown out of a game?

    Yes

They showed a stat earlier tonight, the Lakers have lost 4 of their 9 games by 3 or less.

Tonight they lost by 4? So its 5 of 10 by 4 or less.
The only time they've been "blown out" this year is v the Queens, maybe you can consider the Detroit game a convincing loss as well.

This is why margin of victory is a stat never to be underrated. The less you get blown out and the more you blow teams out, the better you are.

that's why I can't take our beloved Mavs seriously, 7 losses by 19+ points + a bunch of nailbiters v garbage teams.

That's why the Spurs aren't contenders, their margin of victory is only 3, they have a bunch of fluke bull wins on fluke Mason shots, and they just lost to the Boshless ing Raptors.

No one on the lakers had energy, except odom, odom was the only good player for the lakers, kobe looked tired and shot the ball 33 times and only made 14, it was a back to back game in Utah so i am not to worry, i remeber last year Utah was missing Williams, Bozer and Okur and they killed us, then when they were healthy we killed them
