Sherdog does have a lot of idiots. But I like the amount of traffic and forum features/software better.
The UG intentionally makes the forum software weird to c*ck block the younger people by making it less appealing. Why do you think so many fighters, promoters and people in the industry like Dana White STILL post there? Make no mistake...it increases revenue by making it relatively troll free. All big news is broke on the UG way before any other site gets it. Just recently Hermes Franca told the UG he was pulling out of UFN17 before he even called Joe Silva.
As for the software being better...its loaded with Trojan Horse tracking software. Go there under Internet Explorer, click around and run Ad-Aware. Now you will see what trash they infect your computer with.

Yes, I'm aware of all that. UG is obviously the place where the insiders and fighters still post. And Sherdog does care way more about generating traffic and ad revenue than they do the quality of the forum. Otherwise, new members wouldn't have such seemingly unlimited access to make troll threads and post .
Though I will say (1) the news thing isn't that big of a deal. Whenever a story or rumor is out there, it spreads like wildfire, (2) Sherwood stated on record that he did have meetings with his advertisers shortly after those claims were brought to his attention and tried to assure there wouldn't be that type of adware in the future. I'm on there almost every day, running Firefox, and don't run into problems. And (3) Sherwood still hosts a radio show 3 times a week and oversees the website. It's not like Crave is running the day-to-day operations.
