Yes, Duel just had the guy on, and I couldn't hear if he was FROM Detroit or he lives there and has close sources IN Detroit with the Pistons, but he has sources inside the Pistons that say this deal is close. Duel mentioned other things this guy had first hand info on and was 100% right on it so we shall see. I'm just relaying what I've heard.

The guy in Detroit...was he calling from a crack pipe or a phone?

Well, if it's true (and I pray that it is), I will be the happiest dude in the galaxy. We gain Sheed and lose Finley. I've done the math -- two positives equal a double positive.

And they only said Finley and Fab? Did they reference that money doesn't much up (or logically - Detroit doesn't benefit)?

Would Fin have to agree to the trade? (and if he did, does that mean he would come back like Barry did last year?)

Yeah I messaged Minnix that and Minnix told me he knew, and told him that, but the guy said all I can tell you is those two are involved, and the trade is "close"

Again folks, I'm just relaying what I heard.

That would most likely be the case, yes.

I don't see what is in it for Detroit. Maybe they know Sheed is not in their future and that he wants to go to the Spurs. So as long as they get to keep their cap space, then they will grant him his wish out of respect?

    Too hard to believe though.

The Spurs have to throw in other players and some incentives. Fab and Fin aren't nearly enough.

It'd probably take something like Fab, Fin, Bowen, Horry and picks/Splitter/Mahinmi/cash for Wallace.

He would, and I'd assume he would.

I'm thinking if the trade went down it would be

Finley Oberto Horry's carcas, and Bruce Bowen. thats close to matching salaries. a second rounder might get thrown in. I dunno.

Yeah I just don't see why Detroit would even consider it. They aren't even getting expiring contracts. There would have to be a lot more to it.

God these radio rumors are hilarious sometimes. Terry Porter's firing was supposed be announced a half hour ago according to KTAR, hopefully for the Spurs the story a radio station fabricated about them turns out to be true.

I'd love to see it happen. Seeing as the numbers don't add up I'd have to file it under the 'unsubstantiated rumor' category at this point.

The Spurs would only need to make up 5 million if it was just Fab and Fin IIRC. If they can sign Horry then ????

Yeah thats what I thought as well, those four, money, and Mahinmi a young athletic big with promise who Detroit might like, and money.

He then said something stupid like "the Spurs are trying to get Detroit to eat some of the salary, wich we know cant happen.

Yeah agreed, thats what I messaged Minnix again, and, i have to leave it at that.
