Seriously this entire day was pure unadulterated garbage.
They couldn't even get a game of HORSE right. Calling it GEICO like the ing sell-out corporate America loving ass munchers they are. Shooting stars, skills challenge........seriously these events suck. Stop doing them.
And I don't want to see ing ugly ass WNBA players either. This means you Mr. Leslie, that SAS chick was OK though. Show a little more skin though next time honey....shake what yo' momma gave ya.
3pt contest I totally missed but since some super scrub from the ing Heat won I'm guessing I didn't miss much.
Dunk contest was a total letdown, and I knew it would be. I knew Dwight would not be able to top what he did last year. He had one really good dunk, but the rest were just unoriginal and not thought out very well at all. It's a sad state of affairs when someone I'm taller than is winning the dunk contest over you D12.
Let's hope tomorrow's game is ultra compe ive. I almost feel bad for PHX, they can't even host a good All-Star game.

it seems like in this era, all stars are getting less and less compe ive cause before, like in the 80's, they offered money to the winners, but nowadays, the money goes to charities and so they dont give a , they'd rather not get injured competing in an all star game. i miss the old days when the SUPERSTARS competed. when jordan and nique would compete in the dunk conetst, bird in the 3 pt contest.. etc. now we have people like cook in the 3 pt contest etc. i dont know. i miss jordan lol
Terribly terrible dunk contest. The best dunk out of the whole thing was Smith's windmill off the double bounce.
these judges that were latched on Dwight and Nate's balls. If he's gonna do some ing superman imitation, at least change while you're in the booth, not step out and then put a cape on, and then do a complete letdown of a dunk on the 12 ft. goal.
Nate Robinson. Him jumping off that guy's back was ing whack. I never thought I'd see the day I could do a dunk that happened in the nba dunk contest, but I can.
just scrap the skills contest and have a 21 tournament. kobe vs lebron paul vs williams etc
The All-Star Weekend hasn't been good in 15 years. The last decent dunk contest, besides Vince Carter's performance, was back when Isaiah Rider won it.
Dirk is gonna win the MVP of All-star game tomorrow.

I hate all the extra crap like the music and dancing, etc......could you imagine Tim Duncan and Popovich on the stage dancing with the cheerleaders?
ray allen should have been in the 3pt contest... bron and wade in the dunk contest... these guys have to make All-Star weekend work.
Come to think of it, Derrick Rose's dunk to end the skills challenge was a lot better than most of the contest's dunks.
I wish Stern would offer like 3 Million bucks for the dunk contest winner or at leas up the ante for it so it could attract Kobe and Carter and Wade.
It's pitiful how bad the dunk contest has gotten.
The only dunks I cared for were Rudy's dunk (the one with the crappy passing from Pau) and Dwight's off the side of the backboard.
Smith's double bounce wasn't bad.
That's b/c people want to see star players competing. Case in point: 3 point shootout which was never that interesting anyways was a ing snore this year. When the best player is Rashard ing Lewis, no one cares. And guys like Danny Granger who isn't a good shooter shouldn't be put in it to make a fool of themselves.
Dunk contest was a joke from the moment they gave Dwight a 50 on his first one.
The whole dunk contest was staged, it was horrible.
So there is something we agree on after all.

They oughta put pads on these guys and put a couple ALL-NBA defenders between the dunker & the rim.
That'd liven it up a bit.
At least the guy that won the contest this year actually made a dunk. That's really the only positive I take from that waste of time.
I think the All star weekend is aimed at younger fans. I certainly enjoyed watching it when I was kid.
Yeah and with all the outfits and , it's gotten very WWE.

That dunk contest was crappy but I kind of expected it to be and Im still pissed because my boy Russell Westbrook wasn't in it. And Dwight Howard was ing disappointing with his . Dunk contest blew.
1. TNT desperately needs Chuck. Kenny is good, but he needs his Batman back.
2. Cheryl Miller knows her BBall and is a great sideline reporter or analyst....but she was jacking up all of those post event interviews. She was mumbling and fumbling words worse than a florida high school graduate. Give it back to Ernie or Craig.
3. Go back to the original setup for the 3pt contest. Have 8 contestants, with 2 shooting at the same time. Top 4 advance to the second round, with 2 shooting at the same time. Then in the Finals, have the two shoot separately. Also, make sure to include these 3 players in your 8 every year....1 the previous year's champ, 2 the player who has made the most 3s up to the break, and 3 the player with the best 3pt % up to the break. It was downright stupid to not have Matt Bonner in that contest.
4. I like the skills challenge. I just wish they would change the course up a slight bit. I wish they would make the players shot a layup, FT, and 3pt shot. They dont have to rebound or try it again, just add a set time interval to their total if they miss any of those shots. I would also like to see more than 4 participants. Give me 6 at least. Also, does it have to be only PGs. I would like to see some SG, SF, and even a few bigs participate in the event, just for kicks.
5. I like the shootout thing they do. However, none of them were shooting from halfcourt. They were all about 5-10 ft in front of the line....CHEATERS. IMO, only the previous year's champion and the host city should have a lock in the game. The other cities. with both NBA and WNBA on Friday or Saturday during the day, compete for the finals 2-3 spots.
6. In the slam dunk contest, have 6 contestants. Each contestant gets 3 dunks in round 1. The best 2 scores are combined and the two contestants with the best scores advance to the finals. You have 2 dunks. Also, get real judges. I want to see MJ, Nique, Dr. J, Spud, Nance....basically, if you haven't won or competed in the contest, you cant judge the contest. I would even love to see an NBA vs And1 dunk contest. That would be sick to watch. I bet the first year, And1 would absolutely rape the NBA in the contest.....but after that, the NBA would get their act together and practice some vicious dunks.
