"...With three players who are as dangerous as any trio in the Western Conference, the Spurs have the capability to beat anybody."

Spork killer is like an 80 year old Rich Little still doing his Nixon impersonation.
Get a new act, kid. Yours is hopelessly old and tired, like Shaq, Nash, and Grant Hill.
The Spurs should be the defending champions right now and should have won six straight championships.
If Fisher's 0.4 is waived off, if Manu doesn't foul, and if that foul on Barry is called last year, we're the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 NBA champions. A couple of calls here and there, a couple of shots here and there, we can arguably say that 2002 could also have been a championship year for the Spurs. That's 7 straight championships.
Yeah, it hurts to think about that.
unless we land another great player...rasheed, vince, shaq.. WE ARENT EVER WINNING AGAIN.
This reminds me of Bill Russell. Russell was involved in 10 game sevens and won them all. Nine of the games were very close. While Russell was clutch, he had a lot of luck as well.
Had Russell lost any of the game sevens, he would have won one less le.
Of all those gaffes, to me the Manu "stupid" foul, hurts the most because of the situation. Game 7. Near the end of regulation. WCSF against hated rival.
at home.
if SPurs had shot their shots and passes some passes, we could be on our way to our 7th championship
if..if..if the spurs had won all their games..
well, there are A LOT of variables in this game.
i WISH the spurs could have won 7 rings, but it isn't so.
sadly.
Imagine that....Duncan with 6 rings....
Agreed. Phoenix would've been a cake walk in the WCF and we would've taken down Miami no doubt.
Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda...blah blah blha!
Give it a rest dumbass!
Gee, what good advice.
Whatever you say, pink boy.
i think were good enough too, but we pretty much have to play perfect basketball through-out the playoffs.
Yo sporkie, how are your Phoney Suns doing these days?
ROTFFLMFAO!!!
Couldve been 6 in a row. At least 5 overall. Whatever, the thing that makes it easier for me to enjoy my summer in between le parades is that we are collecting our share of les in the Duncan era. Enjoy what we've got!
He had a lot of HOFers as teammates as well.
damn who is that chic in your sig?
Even though they lost by the closest margins, I think the 2004 and 2006 Spurs teams were weaker than the champinship teams. In 2004 they were trying to replace DRob and SJax, and the replacements didn't play well enough. In 2006 Duncan had plantar fasciatis and the Mavs were built to match up well with the Spurs.
What I'm saying is that yes it takes luck to win a championship, but if the 2004 and 2006 teams wouldn't have had those weaknesses maybe they would have won too.
