Speaking of which, why did the league have to switch from the North America vs. the World format? That was better imho
Naaah, I prefer West vs East

And speaking of Ovechkin, he didn`t do jack yesterday vs Montreal (Markov`s defense had something to do with it)

I was going to guess this thread would get a bump today...

That was a very entertaining game last night. Props to Dallas for showing up (unlike last week).

He is awesome. Getting to watch him every game is an absolute treat. I havent seen a player this dynamic and unique since....well, never.

No, he isnt the best player to ever lace them up, but his set of skills and the way he plays is something I dont think I have ever seen.

Pavel is a unique player; I think he has the best combination of talent (those dekes, that vision) and 2-way playing.

I watched the highlights on TSN. Looked like a damn good game, but I didnt get out of work until midnight.

We took a lot of dumb penalties.

However, I think that despite the rivalry, it was a meaningless game considering both teams were missing key players.

    Boston: Kessel, Lucic, Bergeron
Montreal: Koivu, Higgins, Tanguay, Carey Price, Laraque

Chara is a great player AND a great captain.

Yeah at this point, he could win the Norris.

Other candidates: Nick Lidstrom (as ususal), Andrei Markov, Dion Phaneuf

    Welcome

Although the Flyers eliminated my Habs last season, they are my 2nd favorite team in the NHL

    Why?

Because they find ways to win games, even when missing key players

In the East, I'm not worried by Boston, Washington, Philly or Pittsburgh, but by NJ

Brodeur gets shut-out #100 against Flyers today, putting him only 3 away from tying Terry Sawchuk.
Brodeur gets victory #547 today as well, putting him only 4 behind tying Patrick Roy.
Decent effort for someone who's missed almost 4 months of the season!

    Brodeur is amazing

The reason why I went to a Canadiens-Devils game last season was becasue of him; I've always admired this guy.
There was a hot French Canadian girl wearing a Brodeur jersey seating next to me that night; too bad she was with her BF

Oh, and we destroyed Brodeur by the way (4-0)
