San Antonio would riot if the Spurs traded Manu.

    nervermind....its San Antonio. haha
True, there wouldn't be a riot. Everyone would just head to Academy and start looking for T-shirts that expressed an appropriate sentiment...........

The more I think about this, the more this ankle thing doesn't pass the smell test.

    Somethings up.

I would probably cry if the Spurs sent Manu somewhere else. I'd understand it depending on who they get in return. I'd be very sad. As a kid I was very sad when they traded Sean Elliott to Detroit. I think trading Manu would be worse because the dude is the heart and soul of this team.

As I stated earlier, it seems like the Brent Barry thing all over again.

Yes. Its the same Eric B. He changed his name from TPark to Eric B because TPark turned his back on the Spurs in the playoffs awhile back.

then why the do you keep saying this sh1t?

    moron.

No, you say the front office would probably trade Manu:

which means you have no problem getting rid of him.

Quit talking out of your ass and GTFO. You are a joke of a monkey.
You are an idiot. That comment you highlighted meant that if the Spurs could realistically swing a trade for VC or Salmons they would do it no matter if Gino was hurt or healthy. None of the trades being discussed (VC for Fab, Bowen, Mason and Hill) or Salmons for (Bowen and Udoka..) included Gino being traded, so WTF are you talking about.

You are obsessed with me and it makes you look like a creepy idiot. So, shhhhh.

I know who TPark was, and that he changed his name on here to Eric B. But I was just wondering if it was the same one being talked about as the "Hall of Fame" caller from Chris Duel's show.

I know that Manu is injury prone and at times turnover happy, but Manu is THE X-FACTOR of the Spurs.

I disagree right now with the idea of trading Manu Ginobili, can you imagine what he would do to us? He would come back and kick our ass so bad its not even funny.

Everything being said, if your trading Ginobili, it better be for a damn damn good player.

Does Vince Carter qualify?? IMO, I don't think so.

NO! VC does not qualify as a top superstar player worthy for Manu.

Exactly, if the Nets where expecting to get a friendlier contract and a better player (IMO) in Ginobili, they better be willing to part with Lopez. Even then...

Either way he needs his ankles.

No. If I'm SA I forget the future and go all-out to try to win now around the Big 3 - if that means dealing Mason and Hill so-be-it. Even if its only Vince - that may further entice a FA like Sheed to sign for MLE next year.

Once Duncan/Manu run out - the Spurs run is over. Best to load up with guys now - worry about the youth and rebuilding when the run dies.

2Cleva, I saw you on Jay Leno's 'Street Talk' the other night. You know, that segment after the monologue when they come back from the first commercial break and Jay goes out into the streets of Los Angeles and asks people from LA really simple questions and the idiot on the street comes back with a really, really stupid answer.

If I were you, 2Cleva, which thankfully I am not, I would be worrying about your Fakers. If either Kobe or Gasol goes down it is over with for the LaLa Lander's!

BTW, your LA Fakers got slaughtered by the Celtics last season. That was embarrassing for the whole NBA. The Fakers have lost more NBA Finals than any other team in history! Time to let a team that has never lost in the Finals to represent the West this year.

The Spurs are not going to trade Manu, stop trying to read more than there is. Its simply an ankle sprain.

I do not think Manu will be traded, I am just saying it would take a minimum of Lopez/VC to get the Spurs to listen.

Then something happened in practice tommarow.

He practiced normally yesterday according to all reports.

Again, I'm not nor is anyone else saying hes getting traded, but to me, IMO, this does not pass the smell test.

You really think the Spurs would trade Manu for Salmons?

Either he hurt it during practice, or it's been bothering him and he did not say a word until yesterday or the pain worsened yesterday to the point where he had to bring something up. I HOPE.

The fact that you are pulling that I am saying the Spurs would trade Manu for VC or Salmons out shows the problems you have comprehending. Once again, never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. :

After mulling this over, I'm calling BS on this. Manu is fine. This is just CIA Pop tactics. He looked at the schedule, saw it was just the knicks, remembered the heat he took for giving guys the night off in Denver and all of a sudden out comes a story about Manu's ankle hurting. Then for the Detroit game on Thursday Manu, fresh off a full 7 days of rest, will magically discover that his ankle is feeling better and we all move on.
