It seems Memphis has become the Lakers farm system. OJ Mayo will be back in LA in the future. Lakers will have Memphis trade Rudy Gay as a part of a 3-way trade. It's really neat. I wish we could we have a minor league team.
In all seriousness, it was for a warm body for a conditional 2nd rounder a few years away.
If I was Buss, I'm thinking "Why the not...we don't need him"
