At first I thought everyone was kidding about the Spurs management looking to get rid of him over this, real or not. Obviously they weren't.
It's obvious that he didn't take the picture himself, he's not holding the camera. And it's not like he did a nude photo layout. Somebody snapped a couple of shots of him in the bathroom. (Except I think one of them is fake.) Taking the camera away from her and stomping it into pieces would have been... ungentlemanly.
The other thing to keep in mind is that anyone who sees this picture intentionally went onto the Internet to look at pictures of a naked man. (Suddenly I feel cheap and need a shower.) I'm not sure how much they will be damaged by actually seeing the picture of the naked man that they went searching for.
At worst, this looks like something that happened when he was a young college student. If Greg Popovich is trying to convince anyone that students at our military academies don't participate in any "youthful indiscretions", I'll have a couple of people call and remind him.

So you're saying that if you had a girlfriend and she's laying in bed playing with a camera and you're getting dressed and she snaps your pic without your consent, posts it on some paparazzi website to screw with your career or better yet, make some money off the photo's or notoriety and it's your fault?
When your a pro NBA player and they could be used as leverage or get posted on the net?

IF these were even taken while he was a pro NBA player, this merits a fine at most.
To completely give up on Hill for this incident, after he has otherwise proven so far to be a well-behaved and upstanding young player, sends a pretty strong (and bad, IMO) message to other players in the league about your loyalty to your young players.
