I couldn't care less if the parade announcer (who's just doing their job of announcing not commenting on whether someone looks like themselves or not) or a crowd of people who probably didn't know who the council was if you asked them on the street knew the two switched.

I swear to God, they were on Good Morning America. I don't remember the whole thing being that big of a deal. I remember it being, "oh yeah, and there was a mix up at the river parade..big whoop." But, if this was 4 years ago I wasn't that into local politics.
I didn't know we took parades that seriously in SA. I thought they were supposed to be fun and a little wacky.
Anyway, the candidates are dismal. At this point, I see Castro as the lesser of the evils. I can't ever imagine voting for Cibrian or Trish, both of whom are deep in the pockets of business and developers. I didn't vote for Cibrian for council, who lost my vote with her pandering campaign promise of more city services with less taxes. You can see where that one went.

I think the whole point everyone is trying to make is that everyone who was on the barge knew that it was joaquin on the float. The announcer didn't get the memo. There was no ill intent in the "switch.
