What's up with this "real men don't hit women" talk? Since when do women have a free pass to do whatever they want? Obviously, men shouldn't beat women for the of it, but in a civilized world, men shouldn't be pounding on each other for no reason either (unless your name is Brandon St. Randy).

I have never hit a woman, but I would if I had to. If a woman is coming at me with a knife, I'm not going to give her a hug: a kick in the ass is coming her way. I rather be a plain man than a "real man" with a real knife in my real ass. In this case, he didn't have to, but I can understand his state of mind. He calmly told her not do that again and if she did, he'd reciprocate. She stopped screaming, acted like she was going to caress his face, and proceeded to dig her nails into his cheek. He popped her square in the grill. Her response? I can't believe you just did that.

There are extreme case were it is difficult too maintain your cool. But despite your story, I still feel the same way.
