god damn you're annoying in an argument.
If the implication of your first comment is that i said women are inferior beings who need protection, you need to read my posts more carefully.
And for your second comment, with the exception of angel_luv, i haven't seen a single female poster in this thread speak in terms of men hitting women as being an absolute rule written in stone.
happens. People do some ed up things to each other. If someone knowingly infected their partner with an std, i can comprehend that the resulting argument might get heated enough that someone gets hit. I get it. I don't condone it, i don't approve of it, i think it's incredibly immature, but i can understand that feeling of being so livid that you lash out and lose control for a moment. The "for a moment" part being key, which was the point of one of my earlier posts. Once you go past that first, impulsive, immature reaction and proceed to beat/choke another person, you've crossed a line in my book. Regardless the specifics of the situation. Legitimate self defense or a quick and thoughtless mistake of a reaction? I'm willing to give a little leeway. Unnecessarily beating the out of someone long past the point you're still operating on impulse? That's going too far.
That's been my stance on the situation the whole time and, if you noticed, it's entirely gender neutral. I'd feel the same way if she had kicked his ass.
