Considering the Rockets' record is better without T-Quit than with, there shouldn't be an excuse if they lose in the 1st round this year.

Link? It was working, and Dirk was playing like all night, so maybe it wasn't necessarily a bad thing to go through Bass/Barea. As if the people who are whining if Dirk finishes 5-23 or 4-22 would then say "Oh well, atleast we went down swinging with our best player"... no, then they'd start criticizing Dirk's mentality or toughness or ability to close agame or whateva the .
We're criticizing something that gave the Mavs a chance at the end, as if something's wrong with Barea having 26 points. No, it's good to have a bench player that once every 15-20 games or so can explode for a big offensive game. If Dirk made an attempt to get to FTA or shot better we win. if Barea scores less, we lose by more.
So basically, I'm a homer because I think Dirk going 4-18 had more to do with us losing than Barea providing a spark off the bench and hitting big shots in the 4th (kinda like Brooks did? He outscored Yao in da 4th).

I think the Kyle Lowry trade is going to work after all. He showed some good stuff tonight to say he doesn't know the system at all. Also loved his agressiveness taking it to the basket. I think we will be fine in a couple weeks once the kinks are worked out.

Rockets with Brooks/Lowry point guard instead of Alston/Brooks is much better at point guard position in offense and also much worse at point guard position in defense.
Brooks is very capable in offense and very horrible in defense.

Playing zone defense the last 2 minutes of a game are always going to translate into loses
IMHO Yao basically lost us that game, if it weren't for Brooks's clutchness we would have lost. Yao sucks ass in the clutch as you saw with his stupid TOs

the guards were sagging to help on Yao bc Dirk or Bass was stuck on him, that result in open 3's....a lineup of Bass, Dirk, JJB, J-Ho, Kidd is terrible defensively down the stretch
His reputation is as very good defender but his defense was horrible in this game. But he looks capable of playing D. Brooks cannot guard anyone. Dirk is pathetic in this game. Scola make him his and then some. Rockets appears much better team than Mavs.

He had better looks than 4-18 would indicate that he was smothered.
Dirk is soft and he is choker. He is a great player without any questions for sure but he is so soft and never seems to learn.
