In Kalb's 2003 book, he rated Duncan # 9, behind Bird # 6

So Duncan has risen to #1 since 2003 according to this author?
I'd rate him as the best power forward ever as well.
I read that book. I thought it was total trash. Shaq greatest of all time in 2003.
The Shaq pick was stupid, probably forced on Kalb by the publisher to enhance sales. Besides that pick, it was pretty good, the rest of the picks were pretty good.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Tim was ranked a #9 back then, only after 6 years in the league. I wonder where he would be ranked if Elliott Kalb had to update his order.
Well, just by pure chance, he's bound to get something right now and then.![]()
True. However, he did miss some others out. And how dare you put T-Mac into a ing top 50 when he has not even climbed out of the first round or MVP.
for sure Duncan is better at PF or C than MJ at those positions, but Magic still owns more achievements than duncan does. Magic is inarguably the best PG of all time anyway, but Duncan still has Malone and Barkley in front of him on his way to "the best PF of all time".
though they don't have a ring even in combined.
What else does he have Tim Duncan beat in besides more rings?
that's why I added "though they didn't get a championship". Malone and Barkley don't have more trophy than duncan even combined, but we all know Barkley and Malone are above Duncan in NBA's history, though duncan still has a couple of seasons to play.
I would say Horry > Jordan if I also only use the le numbers to estimate players.
Duncan is inarguably known as the best PF of all time...Barkley himself said it a few nights ago, and said that Malone is the 3rd best after himself...
Oscar Robertson has an argument.
Prove it!but Duncan still has Malone and Barkley in front of him on his way to "the best PF of all time".
Can you tell me how many ALL-NBA Defensive team placements does Magic have?but Magic still owns more achievements than duncan does
Recognize...
I am the King.![]()
You got that right, and all you have to do is compare their resumes to see it.
