I've read a number of different sources now that state that the Spurs thought they had a deal to land Camby for Bruce, Fab and George, and that the deal was all but done before the Clippers backed out.
So, the FO tried their best to improve the frontline, apparently... would've left us short of a backup PG, but a deal you definitely have to do if it's there. Pity it didn't happen as I think that might have put us on par with the Lakers, even with Bynum.
That should make a lot of people feel better about the FO, although I haven't seen any threads about it in here. Did I just miss the thread, or has it not been mentioned?
