I feel for any top contender that is on the verge of a shot and gets shocked with an upset.. Another couple of good performances and he might have been looking at a rematch with GSP. Now he is way in the back of the line again. But KOS has to get more diversified with his strikes. He's waaay too talented to be throwing that 1 punch at a time, same two punches nonsense..
You mean with new champ Thiago Alves right? lol

LOL, Thiago is gonna get worked by GSP brother. Cutting 30 pds is gonna be his downfall in this fight, with GSP's pace and 5 rds. Trust me...

I know I know. Thats just the logical choice though. GSP will dominate, everyone thinks so, and there is no reason not too....but I feel a lucky punch coming on. haha

Well that's Thiago's shot for sure. Big powerfrul striker, huge 170er but he's inferior in every other aspect. So you gotta love GSP chances. I think if he loses, it will be because he bites off more than he can chew size wise, fighting Anderson at 185. But at 170, i think he's almost untouchable these days..

Damn near untouchable...almost as untouchable as it gets...but Thiagos right hand is going to touch his chin lol.

I don't see him with a one punch KO of GSP at all. He'd have to rock him bad and finish like Serra did... And GSP's boxing is better IMO. he may stand with Alves and trade leg kicks, just to prove he can..

If Matt Serra can beat GSP...granted GSP has improved at a ridiculous rate since then, Alves can. Once again, I do want you to know that I am not in the least saying that Alves is the better fighter of the two.

I know and i agree he can win with a KO, i just don't see it happening. GSP came into the Serra fight, not only not even close to what he is now, but with his head in the clouds.. And it took a punch to the back of the head, and 10 more hard shots to finally beat GSP. Nowadays, with 5 rds, GSP 100% focused, in top shape, and amazing gameplans, he's a friggin nightmare to deal with.. But we'll see...

One last thing about Koscheck, i know he is unpopular with a lot of fans but he is one talented dude. I'd hate to see him, not reach his full potential. We know his wrestling is amazing, he's got fast hands and plenty of power, but man if he doesn't learn to throw combos, leg kicks and mix up his standing attacks better, he's never going to that next level..

Im glad he lost and I dont agree about the 9 times out of 10 he would have won. Remember Any given day any of these fighters can win.

I would've liked to see Koscheck take a couple more shots, mainly because I don't like him...but he was done...

Maia's baiting of Sonnen was a thing a beauty...yea Chael, you and Maia are the top 2 MW's in the world...hahahaha

The best thing about Sonnen getting subbed is that it wasn't just him getting caught with a triangle or armbar while doing a little GnP...mr badass wrestler got tossed on his head...

and THEN schooled on the ground...

    a thing a beauty...

I still want to see more of Struve...he got thrown into the fire for his debut.

I have to admit, Marquardt looked great, even though I wish failure on him. Gouveia can take a ton of punishment.

    Etim was very impressive.

Watch out for Mike C!! He needs to get back to LHW though...

Diego looked sharp at LW...no gassing at all, which is mainly what I wanted to see. It was a tough weight cut for him.

The only fight that didn't air was Troy M (pictured) and Paul Kelly...

Yes, that's a cut above his left eye. It went the distance with Kelly dominating most of the fight. Decent scrap...

A bad gameplan and only a bad gameplan is why he lost that fight. He'd crush Thiago in a rematch, i'd lay any amount of money on it..

I have never got why so many people hate on Koscheck. He's a great athlete, does his best to make the fights exciting, works his butt off, what's the problem?? I don't think he comes off as a terrible guy..

    He has nasty anal warts...and he's a y prick...

Like saying he never watches tape on anybody he fights (which is BS). He took the fight lightly, he threw wild overhand right after wild punch, and he get KTFO. It was great...
