Oberto is going to step up with this as motivation..he's looked good tonight already..he'll be enough for us, you heard it here first..
Woohoo! Lets see what POPS GOTS
Oberto playing his best game of the season tonight
KT got wind of this and is working his ass off against the mavs
Newsflash: he's had his can of whoop-ass open since December.
Im excited they finally signed this guy! I've been waiting for them to sign him. Not sure how his game will translate to the nba but its worth a shot. From watching this interview i really like his at ude, he seems to want to do anything it takes to make it in the nba. He's taken the long road to the nba like other spurs such as bruce, ime and roger. Hope it works out for him and the spurs.

p.s. this was my first post....lol
Come on Pops!!! Hope he plays more than Hairston did tonight.
Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks.
hope his call up will have more of an impact than dermarr johnson's last year.
im down to see what pops can do, but fabby has been playing well of late.
all of the bigs played pretty well tonight w/out timmy.
I just hope he can come in with a lot of energy and toughness with a few spectacular dunks mixed in.
Wonderful interview. Also liked his at ude. There's something to be said for hard work and tenacity in reaching your goals. Definitely traits that the Spurs value highly. Can't wait to see him in action.
Great first post, SaTownFan,
Thanks for sharing this!
Good find. Hopefully Pop throws Pops into the fire soon so the Spurs can get a quick look to see if he has the size and strength for the NBA.

Also, what's his wingspan? I hope he has long arms.
Much ado about nothing. Even if we do sign him he won't play a single meaningful minute down the stretch run, never mind in the playoffs. Just taking a look for the future. Decent enough practice fodder, though.
In 2006, he measured 6'9" in shoes with a 7'0" wingspan.
This final stretch of games, thru the end of the regular season, will hopefully give him an opportunity to get some much-needed playing time. Besides, Duncan needs as much rest as possible. I remember reading somewhere that the soreness, that Duncan is experiencing in his knee, has been a season-long condition that flares up occasionally. Apparently, he's been a warrior and has been pushing through.
he is 6'9". from what i can tell, he may be able to become a powe type of player for the spurs. clean up around the rim for easy baskets and rebound. i don't know about his defense though. without thomas' defensive intelligence and strength, he might be a liability against taller centers and PFs.
with their powers combine.....captain planet, his our hero, his going to put pollution down to zero.....
maybe im being too optimistic but next season looks potentially bright with the addition of mahinmi, gist, more hairston and hill, and if this works out pops. then again i did think farmer would help us out in the early season![]()
