Hey Donnie![]()
"We Like Our Boys in Blue"....Donnies new slogan
Stack is back tooThis is the worst deadline day ever

No, it's not a trade, but there appears to be a decent chance Jerry Stackhouse will be active for Friday's game in Houston.
President Donnie Nelson said during his post-trade-deadline press briefing that Stackhouse would "be back tomorrow, which will be real important for us.''
That doesn't necessarily mean Stackhouse is ready to play. But if he's active, I'm guessing he'll get a few minutes against the Rockets.
He's definitely on the road trip. That much is certain.
Meanwhile, the trade deadline passed without the Mavericks making a deal. But it wasn't for lack of trying. Nelson said they were active with "lots and lots and lots'' of conversations up until the final minutes before the 2 p.m. deadline.
"We like our boys in blue,'' he said after all the talk produced no action.

Donnie Nelson has a fetish for boys dressed in blue.
Wow, this must have been a fantasy come true for Donnie.

Blue turns me on, what can I say? I love my team!
The NBA is supposed to be where caring happens, not perversion. You disgust me.
So Donnie, still like your "boys in blue"?
So I guess your big move at the trade deadline was getting back Stack...how has that worked out so far?![]()
What happened to the p. diddy jerseys? After this one gets worn out, we like our guys in green sounds good![]()
Do you expect the front office to say "we HATE our boys in blue?"
Or do you expect them to say "Stack is worthless to us except for his contract" even though they said they want him for the playoffs.
After all, last year when they said "We love our team", 4-5 players were traded for Kidd/Wright lol.
Our FO indeed has its fair share of mistakes, but we shouldn't be so sensitive about what comes out of their mouths. let's not pretend they aren't making deals out of emotional attachment to the team. They were passive at the deadline due to a quiet market, or due to inep ude, or unwillingness at the time being to take on horrible contracts for marginal players (B Diddy, V C). Not due to emotions.
Anywho, Stackhouse's contract will be very valuable this offseason. And it's not as if our boys in blue weren't shopping it around.
I do hope the "2010 plan" means making moves in the summer of 2009. D Lord wrote a good article about how even if you resign Kidd/Dirk and have them take paycuts, AND allure a free agent, half your roster would have to be rookie FA's and D-league scrubs.
Stackhouse and Howard are very valuable this offseason contractwse IMO, but only if one is willing to take on contract, which would ruin the pipedream of alluring a 2010 free agent. BUt that's all it is, a pipedream
We'll see what happens boys, we'll see what happens.
Mavs are supposed to dump the diddy's and get a new alternate jersey next season that has the same type lettering on it.
Anyways, isnt the mavs color navy blue so shouldnt it be "We love our boys in navy blue'?
I hope it's not the men in metallic silver.

lol i remember we wore those once against the Lakers, i wish theyd bring em back
I like them
Our "Boys in Blue" are still beloved by the Mavs Brain Trust
How bout incorporating a little bit more green into the equation? I love the P Diddy Jerseys, love the old road greens from the 80's. I hate how the current unis don't have green.
Whatta bunch of gots those hapless mavs and their moronin fans!![]()
