What's the matter? Why change names? You realize what a disgrace your previous name was and are now ashamed to use it?
Hmmmm... You remind me a lot of a certain someone who used to post here...

Right...so basically they are the exact same player except Bonner is shooting over 52% while also taking 170 3 point shots. And Scola gets more minutes.
Since Scola, by your own admission, plays on a tier team, it stands to reason that Bonner would get more minutes on the Rockets while Scola would get less on the Spurs.
So basically...that means the difference between them is that Bonner has taken 150 more 3 point shots than Scola, and is still shooting basically the same PCT.
I don't really think so....most players would have a positive Roland Rating starting alongside TMac Yao and Artest on the same team.Nobody said he was the second coming team Duncan.
But He's better tham Bonner for sure, and many more PFs in the league.
And the Spurs have 4 les and a shot at another one. While Scola has but chemistry problems...and a feverent hope that Yao doesn't go down to injury. Not really,Spurs fans and the Spurs organization got the worst part.
Just look around, there's no Scola and No V-Spam.
Well since they are basically the same after adding Scola that they were before adding him...probably about the same. Except Bonner would probably get more minutes for them than he does for the Spurs...because as you just said, the Spurs are a much better team. So his numbers would probably be better on the Rockets but his team would be tier, just as it is now, and Scola would play for the better team if he played for the Spurs, just as it is now, and his numbers would be tier.I wonder how good the rockets could be if their starting PF was Matt Bonner. Just wondering though.
IOW...neither one of them are worth this much debate, and I am going to debate that until you guys realize it and become real NBA basketball fans.

BTW, the question you need to be asking yourself...if Scola's team is such a ty team and he is so important to it...then why doesn't he get more minutes?
Because 29 minutes per game is not starters minutes in this league.
Food for thought.
The Rockets aren't a ty team IMO.
Scola who? You mean the guy that plays on a worthless team that will never win a championship? Let's talk about real contenders for the Larry not pretenders.
you know i dislike the block mentality and scola obsession as much as anyone else... but why do you have to throw like this out there, other than to provoke people?
i could easily make "100% certain" generalizations about americans, but i wont fall into your stupid game. its like this that makes me really dislike your shtick
Yes Professor, somebody got owned and is real pissy...
I don't know what's funnier, that he thinks he knows what he's talking about, or that he thinks he knows what's on other people's minds.
This guy is pure comedy.
It's called depth dumbass....Carl Landry could start on plenty of teams in this league and he needs his minutes too. Landry and Scola compliment eachother so well, why the screw with a good thing? It's like having a excellent 2 back system in the NFL. Scola and Landry are our smash and dash. Plus on top of that, it's only Scola's second season......I wonder how many minutes Ginobili was averaging in his second season?
I love how you try to come up with these bull excuses to devalue Scola, because he isn't on your team, knowing damn well that if he was on your team you'd be one of his biggest fans.
But this is also the same dumbass who sad he'd rather have Mahinimi over Scola![]()
Manu wasn't a starter for much of his second season.I wonder how many minutes Ginobili was averaging in his second season?
But why wonder? The numbers are out there.
Because I'm trying to prove a point to Mr. Dumbass.
and Okay screw the 2nd season.....how about his third season (a extra year into his development than Scola is right now) where he started every game....."I wonder how many minutes he averaged"...hmm.
The monitoring of Manu's minutes is the subject of much discussion here. I personally have been in favor of it.
That's fine and dandy, but the quote was...
So when Ginobili in his third season where he played 74 games and STARTED 74, if he only averages 29 minutes it's Pop just monitoring Manu's minutes, but if it's Scola where he shares the position with another very talented player.....it just means Scola "isn't a starter in this league".
Please explain this to me Whottt. (AKA Dumbass, who's too prideful he can't admit when he's wrong.)

Manu's minutes are pretty closely monitored. That was the whole point. Now if Scola's are being monitored too, that's cool. I don't follow the Rockets that closely.
There isn't a player in this league that doesn't have his minutes "monitored" So that really isnt a real excuse....and I'm not talking about Ginobili now, I'm talking about his third year in the league where he was the obvious starter.
Manu's minutes have always been monitored more than the average NBA player from the first season on. If Scola's minutes are monitored as closely out of fear of injury, I haven't heard of it, but I'm sure it's possible.
It's not even just about monitoring minutes.....it's also about being a post player in the NBA, that's another thing "Mr. Dumbass" doesn't even realize. Most of the time when post players first come into the league (especially a player who grew up playing by completely different rules), they are prone to foul trouble...another thing that has limited Scola's minutes. Yao another post player from international play, guess what he averaged his first year as a full time starter?
So the comparison to Manu is invalid on two counts.
OK.
Personally I think Scola is a fine player. The big mistake the Spurs made was signing Jackie Butler to a multiyear deal. I simply see no reason to continue dwelling on it.
Having him on the roster was fine.
Playing him as much as they did instead of Bonner was the mistake.
Nope. It wold have been Butler and Bonner in that case. Maybe Butler and some minimum salary dude.
About time ...in the future when I tell you to post I expect you to do it sooner...like a good puto.
BTW, I say this with all sincerity, it's wonderful that you have finally found a kindred spirit in La Profesora...but just so you know, he's twice been banned from this board and is generally the most despised poster on the forum...including by other Argentines.
Now you think about the fact that not only have I not ever been banned, but in fact was a mod here...and maybe that'll give you some idea of just how big of an asshole you find yourself commiserating with. I personally am not surprised...
I tell you this only because I know you are a huge pandering asskisser and don't want to rub the wrong people the wrong way.
He was still on the team.
The Spurs would have had to take back salary for Barry. If they didn't use Scola like they did, they would've used Barry to get out of his bad contract and big ass.
Nope. It was paying Butler. The up was to think Horry was gonna still bring it at 37.that was the up.
This is the best Scola thread in all the world.![]()
