I agree with you when it comes to Tony. When it comes to Timmy, I think it all depends. If the guy is feeling good, let him play. He's a 12 year vet in the league..he's going to have sore knees. Let's try to stay far enough ahead of Denver.
IMO i think popovich should keep duncan out against cleveland. being that they are in the east, a loss to them would not hurt our standings too bad. but a win would proove the rest of the nba that we got some ballers and tony parker by himself can hang with any team in the nba.
btw, IMO tony parker > chris paul

I agree that Tim shouldn't play against Cleveland if there is any doubt about his knee/quad/tendon issue. Yes we need to worry a bit about Denver and to a lesser extent the Jazz. With Boozer back they could make up some ground. But it is far more important the Timmy be healthy for the playoffs than to win or lose a game to Cleveland.
If it takes 6 weeks for that tendon to completely heal, then TD needs to sit for 6 weeks, we'll get into the playoffs either way, and either way won't be beating LAL or BOS

that's bad, I thought he just had tendinitis, tendonosis is much worse from what i've read: frayed tendon fibers and abnormal tendon growth...

It will be very difficult to stop lebron and Mo will need to be slowed considerably, hope parkers up to the challenge.
Coming off the RRT, with Dallas, Portland, and Cleveland looming over the course of 3 games in 4 nights, I thought that getting 2 of 3 would be a good homestand. Having gotten 2 of the 3 -- and arguably, the 2 most important of those 3 in terms of the standings -- I'm not terribly concerned with Cleveland. It's a game the Spurs were likely to struggle to win even under the best of cir stances. It helps that the Cavs will be on the 2nd night of a back-to-back, but I feel like the Spurs have done their work on this homestand. Getting Cleveland would be icing on the cake.
agreed. There is actually not much benefit to Duncan playing in this game: I don't think we have much of a chance to beat the cavs without Manu anyway. let duncan rest afew days more.
