A sort of strange coincidence, considering that most of us probably had never heard of fibula until last week...anyways, Wallace is probably out for tomorrow night...

what's up with this fibula thing. for some weird reason it makes me hungry.....
When you eat chicken legs.........
Ooohh!!!! I thought it was some kind of pasta....
youve never heard of the 3rd largest bone in your leg?
He missed that day in 7th grade health class.
That sucks for Wallace. He's cool. Hope he heals nicely.
it sounds like riblets?
Not a common basketball injury. Happens alot in Soccer.
Tibia and fibula, the two bones connecting the knee and ankle.
Please don't cast your net of ignorance over "most of us"...
Poor Ben, that must be freakin awful. Opens up time for JJ Hickson though, and I like the look of the kid.
PS Hey, Solid D, you seem to have 2 spurs for your work in the game threads... wanna send one of those my way?I've been the Rock of Gibraltar in there this year!

Didn't read the article yet to see how bad the fracture is but the ortho docs really don't do anything for fractured fibula's as they aren't really weight bearing bones. There's no casting, pinning, etc performed. However, for athletes maybe they'll wrap an ace bandage around his leg.![]()
are they not teaching biology in Texas?
Wow, tough crowd. ;-)
Welcome aboard.
Fibula most people should know.
The triquetral? Not so much.
I don't have the ability to give out Spurs. Kori and LJ give those out. I think I got them a couple of years ago when I used to post more often in Game Threads. I haven't had as much time to do so this year... I DVR games a lot these days. Good on you for being a Rock of Gibraltar in them, though!
speaking of bones.....isn't it odd that we call an erect penis a boner, even though there is not one bone in the entire organ.
however, the same cannot be said for canines. they do indeed have a small bone in their penis. so dogs do actually have boners, where as people do not.
i am not well versed into the bones of the human body. so anyone in the know, if a bone in the leg had to be broken, which of the big 3 would be least harmful for an athlete?
the fibula
that is the one I would have chosen as well, even though I don't really know all that much about any of the 3. It just seems sensible to me.....it seems that everyday activities can still be carried out with a broken fibula.....although it would hurt like a . Plus, since it is the smallest of the 3, it probably heals fastest.
Z and Varejao will pose a challenge. KT and Fab will have to get physical with them. I wonder if Pops will get any PT too?
How the did he manage that one? I didn't even see it until this thread. And Raspa, if you think Z will be a challenge, ref: Dirk the other night.
Do our legs have bones?
Hope Wallace do well.
Wow seriously? Pretty basic bone. Anyways this might actually be bad for us Hickson>Wallace
