speaking of bones.....isn't it odd that we call an erect penis a boner, even though there is not one bone in the entire organ.

however, the same cannot be said for canines. they do indeed have a small bone in their penis. so dogs do actually have boners, where as people do not.

i am not well versed into the bones of the human body. so anyone in the know, if a bone in the leg had to be broken, which of the big 3 would be least harmful for an athlete?

The tibia is the bigger bone. That sort of break is pretty sick, normally a clean snap between the ankle and knee somewhere.

He is injured and likely it's a clean break or a hairline fracture. He got it when Yao accidently kicked him in the leg.

I am surprised they are only saying like 4 weeks. I haven't broken any leg bones (knock on wood), but the 8 I've broken above my waist have all been 6 weeks min for recovery, and even then they were still iffy for another week or so. You'd think that with a weight-bearing bone, wouldn't it be longer?

His leg finally buckled after supporting the weight of his overratedness all those years in Detroit.

Do you think they'll make him give back that DPOY award he stole from Bruce?

that is the one I would have chosen as well, even though I don't really know all that much about any of the 3. It just seems sensible to me.....it seems that everyday activities can still be carried out with a broken fibula.....although it would hurt like a . Plus, since it is the smallest of the 3, it probably heals fastest.

The fibula is non-weight bearing, and although the length goes from knee to ankle, it is not the major bone involved in either joint. RHorry played with a proximal fib frx a few years ago IIRC.

Tibia is the weight bearing bone of the lower leg. In fact, the medial tibia is the most weight bearing bone in the human body.

youve never heard of the 3rd largest bone in your leg?
haha fo real. That was one of the easiest to remember on 6th grade biology test.

This injury was obviously just another piece in the great puzzle of odd year mojo.

What do you guys think this does to Cleveland's chance of having home court in the East? Does Garnett's injury just cancel this out?

Cleveland must be praying for OKC to buy out Joe Smith, but it doesn't look like its going to happen.
