Morris is wrong about just about everything.
Ahh...that was distinctively bitter, with a delicate note of sweetness on the finish.
Morris is wrong about just about everything.
Maybe but have you noticed how the state makes all these crisis. I mean this porkilous bill makes the invasion of Iraq look like a calm, well thought out plan, a zen moment. Will we now have all our senators and congressmen coming back to us in a year and tell us how they were tricked by that evil obama, just like they did with bush, and their role in the war?
yeah, thats what it looks like.
thats what you're hoping for, isn't it?Will we now have all our senators and congressmen coming back to us in a year and tell us how they were tricked by that evil obama, just like they did with bush, and their role in the war?
Won't happen.
Hey may be spreading panic in some ways . . . but it looks like Rosy's back!

Just saw there's another thread on this. My bad.
are conservatives for or against fear mongering? Why don't any of you cowards ever answer this simple question?
how do you know this bill won't stimulate the economy?
Is this country in a financial crisis?
Yes or no.
You have to suspend the belief on whether the Obama is factually correct, to conclude that he is exaggerating the country's perilous financial cir stances IMHFO.
Or else, it has already been concluded that Obama is factually wrong, and we are *not* already in a deep recession that is threatening to become deeper.
It was worth it for the contrast and for this:
Speaking to reporters Thursday, White House economist Christina Romer called the projections an "honest forecast" by the administration's professional forecasters. "I'd reject the premise that we're noticeably rosier," she said. "We certainly are somewhat more optimistic, but certainly nothing out of the ballpark."
Obama said times are tough!

Yeah, I thought it was an interesting contrast: if things really are so gloomy, then how can you possibly project such a swift and strong recovery? The CEA's projections (along with Bernanke's recent comments) make Obama's rhetoric seem . . . out of place.
I was trying not to undercut you, though.
I agree. It doesn't quite add up, but I don't think it was ever meant to.
The government is expected to keep up a brave front no matter what. Negativity will be strategically engaged along the way, but the obvious forte of Obama is optimism. I don't expect that to change very much.
I thought Bernanke theorized a bottom this year with recovery sometime in 2010, but this is a quibble. What else did he say?
Because they're for it 100%
The GOP is a serial past offender. The security plank relies on making the opposition appear ridiculous in the area of defense. Usually the Jackass does that well enough all on his own, but occasionally some assistance is required.

True, confidence has nothing to do with the real cause (well, maybe past over confidence):
