Hopefully Parker has some gas left in his tank for tonight.
He will, the question is whether or not Lebron will, since he limped his way off the court![]()
Big game tonight.
Let's give em flashbacks of '07!
Bring on Pops..dying to see this kid.
lets get this win!
This game is actually going to be a pretty routine easy win. I notice that LeBron against the top teams in the league is pretty subpar. After this win there will be no reason to trash talk or anything..the Spurs are just going to go out there and do what they're supposed to do, no big surprises to it. At the same time, no big celebrating either..just another routine win. The real celebrating is in June.
PMB goes for fity.
a win here will be big because at least 1 of the BIG 3 will be down ...plus Lebron is the media darling.
Lebron does struggle vs. the top tier teams and i expect Bowen to do a good job ...obviously the help defense will much beter if duncan is there ...
Anyone else get the feeling this is gonna be a really good game??
yah, probly is. too bad it's friday night. i always got stuff goin on. i'd rather watch it on a thurs or something
Yeah, me too!![]()
If Tim plays, we will be underdogs, but have some chance since we are playing at home. Cavs are 24-1 at home. They are beatable on the road as last night showed. Nevertheless, Cavs are the favorites to win this game tonight even with Tim playing.
If Tim does not play, then Cavs are almost certain to win (although anything can happen during any one game).
Cavs will want to rebound after this last poor outing against Houston.
Keys-
1. keep LeBron taking midrange shots and not layups.
2. Rebound well defensively and limit Cavs to one shot. Spurs are the best defensive rebounding team in the league- but that's when Tim Duncan is playing. Ilkauskas is about as good an offensive rebounder as there is in the NBA. And Cavs are one of the best at offensive rebounding.
3. Close out on their 3 point shooters. They now have surrounded LeBron with a lot of very good 3 point shooters including Mo Williams, Daniel Gibson and Wally Scyrbiak (spelling is wrong).
4. We can't settle for jumpshots. If Tim plays, we must go through him.
Jumpshots off of penetration which are wide open and in rhythm are much better than others. Also, transition 3's are not bad.
5. Team defense on LeBron. No one person can slow down a player as good, big, strong, fast, and athletic as LeBron James. It is up to the whole team. Everyone must know where LeBron is at all times. He is a determined and motivated player. He will want to make up for his subpar performance last night.
6. Crowd support.
7. Try to get as many easy points in transition. You don't want to have to score against the set defense of the Cavaliers all night.

This Spurs team has not had problems with any teams this year other than Milwaukee....not even the Lakers...games we lose we lose because we have off nights or miss a bucket here or there, or not play the Big 3 in the fourth quarter.
Tonight's game will not be difficult at all.
let's hope not. believe but don't be y!![]()
y is SpursDynasty's middle name.
I think it might be tighter than people might be thinking. I say the Spurs squeeze it out in a close one, probably like :
SA 91, CLE 87
I wouldn't be suprised to see LeBron have a big game because he is going to come out firing from the beginning and try to rebound, but I figure if they keep everybody else in check throughout the game, Spurs should pull it out.
haha, if'n ja say so, mine's christopher
Go Spurs Go!!!!
I think I might watch the local channel. If LBJ scores then it will be a 5 minute speech on how much the broadcasters would love to molest LBJ with their words on ESPN. I am not in the mood for hearing that pathetic "give us ratings" garbage. Local station knows that the average Spurs fan knows alot about their team, so give better info on other teams IMO.
No Timmy. Uphill battle. Tony has to be aggressive, role players must hit their jumpers and they must defend like they have these past 2 games.
