He needs to stop being so loyal to his vets and start playing the young guns.

I mean, he benched Bowen so anything's possible but man Finley playing so much and giving up so much on D isn't good. Putting Oberto there and getting jack aside from nice passes isn't what we need.

those young guys did it against the young guys of the cavs.

cavs are a good team and beating them without tim and manu was a long shot.

fin and fab played okay 2nite and have been playing great lately.

i'm all about the young guy too but lets not sell out our vets just yet.

If the young guys continue to play like this when given the opportunity, he'll find minutes for them. The ghost of Van Exel hopefully still haunts him.

You have a point but at the same time, talent is talent. Malik has shown it in the small quan ies of games he's played and Hill has shown what he is capable of and finally neither Big Z or Wallace are stopping those man dunks by Pop.

Pop himself has admitted sticking with vets too long. No one said he sucks as a coach. Get off your soapbox.

    Cavs is a great team

This game would be tought even with the big 3 heathy.

Finley and Oberto were great in the last 2 games and played hard tonight

Since the Spurs view the regular season as mostly a waste of time, why not give the young players more minutes and rest the vets?

When the playoffs start, you've got rested vets and rooks who have made more headway into learning the Spurs system.

I don't mean never play them again. Just reduce their minutes and give them to the younger guys. It'll keep the vets rested which translates to more mobile legs in the playoffs and then the other obvious bonus is you give the young players experience in game.

There is a reason why Peter Holt has Pop as the coach and not you. I happen to be 119 years old and I get all stiff when I sit. I have to keep Two Steppin' around the dance floor and since we are heading into the stretch run, Pop just may have a clue as to what is best for the team.

Now, if you're planning on buying me a new 82' Bertram 800 Luxury Sportfishing Yacht then I'll gladly put in a good word with Peter for you. Sounds like a of a deal to me.
