I'm sad and pissed. I witnessed so many great concerts there.


Nearly two years after Live Nation put its Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Selma, Texas, on the market, the Los Angeles-based company finally has a buyer.

Stream Realty has acquired the entertainment venue, which has hosted an eclectic mix of events ranging from country and heavy metal concerts to a campaign rally for then presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Stream Realty is based in Dallas but has a major presence in San Antonio.

Jeff Brown, senior vice president for Stream Realty’s San Antonio office, says when his company originally began due diligence on the purchase — approximately nine months ago — the plan was to redevelop the land. But now Brown says the strategy is for Stream Realty to market the site to another buyer.

Sometimes the sound sucked and I pay $8 at Spurs games anyway, it was the fact that it was an outside venue.

I can only hope that Rush finds a new place to play. I've seen them at the CCA, the Alamodome, the Frank Erwin Center, and at Verizon. Verizon by FAR has the worst audio and sight lines, and then they bend you over at the concession stand. Screw Verizon.

Big Rush fan? I've never seen them live., but the Rush in Rio DVD was great!

We do have the at&t Center.Lots of concerts happening there this year.
