Good stuff. Still a Beast
Stick my inside a mannequin's ass.
I love Em.
Decent, but nobody including em will ever be as good as he was circa 2003.
I'm willing to give him a chance. And I'm willing to forget about Encore if his new album is up to snuff.
He sounds different but its like riding a bike, the skill will always be there.
New Album, I said.

After "Mosh," I imagine there will be a lot of political content on the new album.
Mookie and CBF have already pre-ordered his new album. Minus the radio hits, naturally.

Eminem Ready for Relapse
David Jenison David Jenison – Thu Oct 16, 5:18 pm ET
Los Angeles (E! Online) – Eminem's done the rehab. Now it's time for the Relapse.
During an interview last night on his Sirius Satellite Radio channel, Shade 45, Eminem announced his forthcoming sixth album would be led Relapse and include the track "I'm Having a Relapse."
While the rap superstar stopped short of announcing a release date, he has previously indicated it will drop by year's end, likely before pal 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct on Dec. 9.
The Shade 45 interview, hosted by DJ Kayslay and Angela Yee, was part of an on-air party for Eminem's new book, The Way I Am, which goes on sale next Tuesday.
The new album, whose working les reportedly included King Mathers and Em-Pact, is rumored to include collaborations with 50 Cent, DMX, Obie Trice and Cashis, among others. In a recent interview, current chart-topper T.I. said he also recorded a track with Em that included both artists' alter egos, T.I.'s dark side, T.I.P., and Em's Slim Shady.
Eminem's last studio album, Encore, came out four years ago, followed by the compilation Curtain Call: The Hits in 2005. Curtain Call, originally led The Funeral, per early rumors, marked the start of Eminem's supposed retirement as a recording artist. But whispers of a comeback began just months later, when Eminem collaborated with Akon on the 2006 Grammy-nominated hit "Smack That."
Said Akon at the time, "Eminem told me he was getting bored with everything, which is why he took a break. But he's back working on an album."
Later that year, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, appeared on the Shady Records compilation Eminem Presents the Re-Up. Then in September 2007, Eminem told NYC radio station Hot 97 that he was in fact working on new material, though he wasn't sure if he'd release it. During a Shade 45 interview this past September, the 35-year-old Oscar and Grammy winner finally confirmed a new album was in the works.
With album sales declining faster than the Dow Jones, retailers can take heart that the holiday season could see new albums by cohorts Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. Earlier this week, Tony Yayo even upped the ante by telling MTV News that he's hoping for some kind of combo tour with G-Unit to follow.
I wonder how many rap battles he went through to prepare for this album.

Funny....me and some coworkers had a nice hearty intelligent conversation about rap music today. Eminem was talked about too. My (white) coworker said he likes eminem's non radio hits the most, and when he plays their CD's he never plays the radio hits. I coulda sworn I was talking to the timvp.
As for my reply to the topic:

Eminem Relapses Twice; 2 NEW Albums Coming
Thursday, 05 March 2009 | Written by Jason
"Guess who's back, back again, Shady's back, tell a friend" Eminem knows how to make a comeback. After four years, the world's biggest rap star will not just be releasing one new album, but two. The first "Relapse" album will hit stores on May 19th, a release date that already includes Lil Wayne's rock "Rebirth" and Busta Rhyme's "B.O.M.B."
Although the Eminem, Dr Dre & 50 Cent "Crack A Bottle" [listen here] single is already topping the charts and racking up tons of radio plays, the first official single from "Relapse," and it's music video, will hitting radio and television on April 7th. As we previously reported, "Crack A Bottle" will also have a video hit media outlets soon.
Although "Relapse 2" doesn't have a release date yet, Eminem says that he is currently in the studio working on the project and it should come out in the second half of this year. "We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre" Eminem says in the press release. "Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff."
Official Press Release
SANTA MONICA, CA - March 5, 2009 – Eminem, the biggest selling music artist of the decade, officially announced the street date of his eagerly awaited new album; his first original studio album in over four years. Relapse (Interscope/ Aftermath/Shady) will be released on May 19, 2009. The first single from the album and its accompanying video will see a simultaneous release on April 7th.
Anticipation for Relapse has been building since the fall, when Eminem first announced the album le and debuted the freestyle, “I’m Having A Relapse,” during an interview on his Shade 45 satellite radio station. Last month, the release of “Crack A Bottle” from Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent brought that anticipation to a head. The track soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (Eminem’s second #1 after 2002’s “Lose Yourself”) and set a Nielsen SoundScan record for opening week download sales (418,000). The recording ranked third in the history of all weekly download sales. “Crack A Bottle” will be included as an album track on Relapse.
With the announcement of the release date for Relapse also comes confirmation of something that had been rumored in recent weeks: Eminem is already working on a follow-up album, Relapse 2, that fans can expect in the second half of 2009. “A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year,” said Eminem. “I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”
Eminem has sold more than 75,000,000 albums worldwide. His previous studio album, Encore, reached #1 and dominated the charts in late 2004. Certified quadruple platinum and spinning off four Top 40 Hot 100 hits, the Grammy-nominated disc has sold more than 11,000,000 copies around the globe. The #1, double platinum, 2005 greatest hits collection, Curtain Call: The Hits and #2, platinum, 2006 various artists compilation, Eminem Presents: The Re-Up, followed. In October 2008, Eminem released “Eminem: The Way I Am”, a book compiling thoughts, stories, and memorabilia from various points in his life. The book entered the New York Times Best-Seller list at #11
Good news. Hopefully this brings us closer to a release date for Detox!
ever heard of tupac
Whose that?
Eminem is intelligent and has intelligent listeners.

I hope you are joking. A more apt comparison to that POS movie would be Soulja Boy. Or Hurricane Chris.
when it comes to actual rapping ability, Tupac isn't even in the top 100 rappers.
Glad he lost his fat ass along the way...
cant wait em is a beast
