The Spurs already have a very physical and formidable frontline with the addition of Gooden. A front court of Duncan, Thomas, Oberto, and Gooden are more than a handful for any team out there. Seriously, it's just a question of how hard we're going to kick Lakers' ass. Will it be through our solid-as-rock frontcourt or our dynamic wing rotation of Ginobili, Parker, and Mason? I haven't even included Bonner here who can slide down the 3 position to get even bigger.
I only worry about Bryant because the rest of his teammates are a bunch of scrubs feeding off his misses and passes. Whatever the Lakers pick as their poison, it's going to kill them anyway.

I'm more worried about keeping our current draft pick.

Oberto sucking doesn't mean Gooden doesn't.
It's like being excited over an addition of Darius Miles because Bruce Bowen is limited offensively and is old and Miles was a high draft pick.

Ah, typical, when you can't rebut the point you go to the team smack.
Look, I'm happy Gooden is coming here, but there are two facts (despite the 12-and-8 career average):
1. He's dealing with injuries that have already kept him on the bench a lot this season, and
2. He's never shown the kind of court savvy that Pop requires from his players.
Even if the dude does get healthy it will take him a while to learn what SA does, and Pop is far from the most patient man when it comes to players screwing up on the floor. There is a significant chance that Gooden gets into the Aeternal Doghouse de Pop and we all know that, like the Roach Motel, players check in and they never check out.
Not good. My team sucks this season.
