    I actually haven't.

I don't give two s about a team the Lakers have whooped on 4 times already in this decade.

The only thing I worry about is the Laker's health. No team in the WC is really capable of taking them down in a 7 game series. Especially not a team that ing lost to the Dallas Mavericks on a Jason Kidd 3pt shot.

this decade wow 2001 was the only series yall really beat us,we kicked yalls ass in 1999, we just won in 2003,2004 took a .4 shot to beat us ,last year it took a spurs meltdown to beat us i dont know if yall really owned us like i admit weve only owned the suns twice which was last year and 2005, so why do the lakers still think there better than us ?

Spurs well beat the lakers in 6 games mark my word and this time gasol will be crying

Well you should be. The Lakers havent proven they can do anything, since the meal ticket left town. Its nearly on 10 years since the Lakers were relevant last - by winning a championship.

Not even a 39 point hiding in Game 6 of the Finals in front of the world makes you relevant.

You have to win. The Spurs have done that 3 times since your meal ticket left town.
I don't have to win anything. I'm not playing on the Lakers.

Furthermore my life will not change in any way, shape, or form if the Lakers win/lose the championship. Basketball is a game. It's a game I enjoy watching, but I do not let it affect my personal life like some fans do.

You can try and believe that the Lakers are not relevant but the bottom line is they are almost always in the hunt for a championship. That makes them relevant IMHO. You don't have to win a championship to be a relevant team. If that were the case the only team that is relevant right now is the Celtics.

As a Laker fan I'm extremely fortunate that the team I root for and watch is so consistently good. Even the down years are fun to watch because I know that eventually the Lakers will find their way back on top like they have done time and time again. No other franchise save BOS has been able to consistently rebuild championship teams with new generations of players.

Spurs have had it good in this decade, but San Antonio is not Los Angeles and there is simply no way a small market team can ever truly compete against a big market team in the long run.

Why are we taking the bait. Is this even a real rivalry, I'm are'nt the good rivalries the ones where the both teams win not just the Spurs kicking mavs ass over and over. And by the way besides no Ginobili, How bout the fact that we're mysteriously in the penalty with 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter more than a Spurs foul a minute. Then you look up and see that little bald j. crawford. Third quarter is when the game changed.

Mavs and Spurs are 10-10 in their last 20 meetings.

    Yeah.... might wanna rephrase that.

Expect this to get ignored like any reasonable comments made by non Spurs fans here.

hadn't they robbed the grizzlies the lakers would still be a mediocre team that ranks at 7th or 8th and get its ass kicked in the first round. even after robbing the grizzlies the lakers still always play bad everytime they face suns who are standing at the 9th place in the west.

any other team would also be a favourite candidate if it also had got a gasol caliber player with NO expense.

it's undeniable LA is the second populous city in US, but it's also very egoistic to presume arbitraily that San Antonio is a small market. San Antonio is US's 9th largest city in population and the fans in SA are generally more enthusiastic than those in LA IMHO. People living in LA would rather to buy tickets for movies than bball games even though the movies hollywood makes are genuinely pretty ty, as john travolta commented at the beginning of the movie "sword fish" :" do you know the problem with hollywood? they are making sh1t, unbelievable unremarkable sh!t."

don't worry, destiny will play out the way it's supposed. This is just a bump on the road. Are you kidding me about the mavs come on!! Lakers lost to the nash less and amare less suns a few days ago. Everyone has ty games once in awhile but the true champions pull through when it counts.

I don't like the Spurs or Mavs but in all honesty, the Spurs had no business losing that game. If I were a betting man, money says Spurs. I don't want want the Mavs messing anything up regarding the Spurs and Lakers meeting up in the WCF's.

I know its hard to find a topic where we can go over the short comings of the Spurs and talk about how we will win the 2009 NBA Championship w/o all these whinny excuse making flaky Spur fans ruining the conversation, so lets use this topic as a means to avoid all that.

    Good morning.

Before this topic hits page II I wanted to thank all the Non Spur fans for showing restraint and not rubbing it in after that very entertaining ass waxing they received.
I want to thank you guys and remember they can out number us but they can't * their way to another ring, not this season, and maybe not ever again.................
