Euroleague President say they are making 4 billions US dollars every year from Euroleague. So something is wrong if what you say is true. Or else what others claim here is wrong about Greece and how much market it have.
Is very odd how same players that are dominant in D League usually get cut from Euroleague clubs within 1 to 2 weeks. Very strange if what you say is true.

If you read what I wrote before I never said anything about NBDL players in europe, or NBDL stars being starts in Europe. What I implied was that Euroleague is second tier compared to the NBA in all aspects. Thanopoulos Brothers can invest all the money they want, but I don't see NBA stars going to europe anytime soon regardless of how the current economic environment impacts future CBAs.
You live in dream world. When NBA players can make no more than league minimum they will be gone.
OK, so when in your 'real' world we'll see Kobe, Lebron, Duncan, Parker, KG, Wade.... playing for european teams?
You are stupid. ESPN say that free agents this year probably will only be offer minimum salary. If you cannot figure this out then is no hope for you.
According to you a player like Lamar Odom (free agent next season) will be more likely to sign with AEK than a NBA team next year, since here he would be offered a minimun salary; whereas in Europe he could be offered a lot more. I guess all the teams clearing cap space, should kiss good bye the 2010 free agent class, we'll see Lebron, Bosh, D-wade playing at AEK...![]()
Euroleague is just interesting in some parts of Europe. It's a regional interest. I've never seen something about the Euroleague in a german news coverage. Recaps from NBA games you can see every day.
AEK? No. I say they will try to get some and they have billions in money.
They do not play in Euroleague and will not next year.
of course not. UK/France/Germany do not care about Euroleague and have horrible basketball teams. But in Spain, Turkey, Israel, Italy, Greece, Adriatic, Balkan and Baltic regions Euroleague is very strong.
Add the Nordic countries and you have 2/3 of the European Union that doesn't care about it.
So? NBA is even less popular than NHL in America. Do you have valid point here?
are nasty baggy s swaying like cow udders with tumors all the rage in greece? i don't get it...the way those thinks flop around in the last one on the right is downright octogenarianesque. If you're gonna broadcast yourself as a sexist pig you could at least find someone who doesn't look like a joke.
well? do you? ever? just once?
What does it say when only the parts of the continent care about this league?
I don't care. I'm no one that defends the NBA as the biggest thing on earth. I like sports, I like Basketball, especially the Spurs and a smaller german team, I like soccer and so on. I don't care which league has the better TV ratings or which league is more popular.
I only don't agree to your theses that European Clubs or Leagues can compete with he NBA. That's all!
WTF? No it's not re . Not even close.
Which German club do you like?
I look in google. NHL have higher attendance than NBA.
I like the Paderborn Baskets, because it's near to my hometown. They have big financial problems at the moment, because they are the smallest market in the leaegue. But they are still fighting for a playoff spot.
This is good news for Gabe Pruitt.![]()
They have excellent arena available though if they want to right?
They have an arena for 3000 People and it's more than a school sports arena. One of the worst arenas in Germany.
I thought there was big arena near them?
There is the "Gerry Weber Stadium" in Halle. It's about 50km away. They played 2 Games there last season. It's a studium built for the Tennis Tournament on grass a week before Wimbledon. But there is no way the Baskets get 12.000 People in there for a Basketballgame.
