You're right. There are many big arenas in Germany. But most of them are not used for Basketball, but mostly for Icechockey. Only Alba Berlin plays in an arena for more than 10.000 People.

But that does not mean they cannot be used some of them for basketball. You do realize most NBA arenas are also hockey arenas right?

No Question. But the interest is not big enough. There were some tries to move a team to the bigger cities like Hamburg or Munich, but it didn't fit. The Cologne 99ers for example moved to the "Kölnarena" for some games, but they had no chances to sell out the arena. Now they are only used for Icehockey and Handball.
