Suns come roaring out the gate to an early lead. They look poised to win the game. 4th quarter comes, Spurs decide to play defense. Suns can't get a stop. Suns lose.
I've seen this happen at least 5 times now and really am wondering why the NBA feels we need to keep seeing this same ing story repeat itself.

Because the uninformed are under the impression that this is a heated rivalry. When in fact, this matchup is more of a slow and violent molestation of the entire Sun's organization.

Any chance of this being a real rivalry died with the Shaq trade.
NBA likes to televise rivalry games, and it's rational for NBA to do so. the matchups between Spurs&Lakers, Spurs&Suns and Lakers&suns are always preferable because they're totally rivalry matchups, though the results of each matchup are always 80% settled even before the games start.
Spurs always beat Suns while Suns always surprise us by beating Lakers, and Lakers are the nemesis to Spurs. The relationship is just like "stone, scissors and cloth".

Nope. But some Spurs fans use it for player hate. I wouldn't go as far as to say he is definitely innocent, but at the very least he commited adultry.
