Sounds like he will be in uniform this week

was this posted? sorry if it was.
Update:
Gooden (groin) stayed late after practice Saturday to walk through the Spurs' offensive sets, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Recommendation:
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich plans to give Gooden some time to adapt before putting him on the floor. "We've got a lot of stuff and run a lot of different things, so it's going to take a lot of time for him to kind of catch up," forward Tim Duncan said. "We'll put in a smaller package for him, some basic stuff, just so he knows what's going on."
Sounds like he will be in uniform this week
Smells like he'll dress tomorrow to me...
He needs to learn 300 offensive playbooks, then 550 defensive zones, and practice 1,000 defensive rotations drills.
Seriously, if he learns the 4-down play for Timmy, he is ready to go...............
Does this have to do with his groin or is this completely unrelated?
Exactly. There is no way he's gonna learn all the plays on offense or defense before season's end or next season's end. He needs to just get in there and play.
Nazi made the best of basic playbook knowledge during his championship run
err, Gooden is a 7-year veteran! Can't Duncan just teach him how to rotate on defense? He should already know how to do this by now anyway.
Good one... these aren't the Redskins of old...![]()
He had a lot of those with the Cavs though.
If not, I hope he'll wear that nice looking jacket...I've got to see it again.![]()
All he needs to do is get offensive rebounds / catch the ball and dunk.
Hed be the best backup for Tim Duncan probably since Duncan has been here.
Im excited to see what he can do
He's not dressing until after the Lakers.
The Spurs defensive rotations are a bit different than other teams' though. From what I've heard, the rotations come from different spots which tends to fool incoming players for a bit.
I think he may play tomorrow, I mean cmon its the Bobcats, would you rather dress Gooden against the Lakers and Rockets, or the Bobcats tomorrow?
CIA Pop is going to wait until after LA in my opinion..he doesn't want the Lakers to be able to adjust to him before the playoffs.
You can tell people want to rush him into the rotation before the lakers
are in town.. Should rush this.
Despite the fact that I can't wait to see how Pops will utilize Gooden and to see how Gooden will fit with our team, I don't think Pop will play him until after the Lakers.
cant wait for gooden
Well I just got tix for next Tuesdays game against Minnesota so hopefully he's playing by then!![]()
