For those stating that Thursday's game against the Lakers "Doesn't Matter"...you do realize that the Spurs have maybe a 2 game lead over the 3-7 seeds in the West? And with teams like the Hornets, Jazz, and Rockets playing so well as of late, every game does matter. Spurs go on a mini-losing streak and they could find themselves falling to the 3rd-5th seed and looking at opening the playoffs on the road perhaps.

I think Gooden may play tomorrow night against Charlotte. It will have been about 5 days since he got here, almost a week. And why not throw him out there against the Bobcats rather than the Lakers right?

Yep! It is imperative to get the win at home vs the Lakers. The home court advantage will be great and away from the Staples center.

The season series only matters if the teams finished with the same W-L record, which certainly won't be the case here. The Lakers will have HCA against anyone else in the West.

Sucks! I think the Lakers are pretty strong at home, but I also think no team prepares themselves mentally like the Spurs.

We'll do well in the Playoffs. Win or lose the Conference/Finals, at least the Spurs organization will retain some modi of class.

This game won't be much of a big deal and there won't be any need for any trashtalking between Spurs and Lakers fans...the Spurs will just go out and do what they're supposed to do, nothing big...the Lakers are a team we're supposed to beat and we'll beat them...again, no reason for people to get fired up over this game. This game is about as significant as playing the Grizzlies or Clippers. We should be concerned with the defending champion Celtics, who we beat already, so there's nothing left to prove....

when i post that the spurs are gonna catch the lakers i forgot there was only like 22 games left. but the spurs dont need hca agianst the lakers because the lakers are trash and the spurs are going to the finals agianst the celtics and the spurs are gonna win in 6 games.

For me, big games are against New Orleans, Utah and Boston, compe ive teams with edge. Even Dallas games are big, just because of the rivalry. The Lakers are not intimidating. They just happen to win a lot of games for who knows what reason. It's like the 2006-2007 Mavs, not intimidating despite winning a lot of games.

Exactly, especially with the blessings21 clown. All cussing and attacks-no real intent to carry on a conversation much less an intelligent one. I'm just as happy ignoring the fools and discussing bball with reasonable minded fans. Fortunately there are an overwhelming number of reasonable people on this site that don't have to resort to cuss talk, smack talk, pretty much debase and classless crap. It's a ST site, many fans are welcome, unfortunately we do have to put up with the classless ones. That's why the Spurs are so respected. We do carry a modi of class that pubescent trash talkers can never take away.
