Cool as most of us thought, Houston it will be! CIA POP will not show his hand to the Lakers...![]()
I was watching WOAI at 6 AM, which for those who don't know is one of San Antonio's local stations, and when the news came on, they were talking about the Bobcats game, and they had an interview with Pop about the game and talked about his team. After the interview, they said they also asked him about Gooden, and he said Drew would probably be in uniform Saturday against the Rockets. Not sure if this is posted yet, but I figured it deserved it's own thread.

Manu Ginobili
(AP)
It's a no go for the Lakers game. Gregg Popovich told local reporters before the game that Manu Ginobili will not play Thursday night when Kobe and the Lakers come to town. Manu was supposed to be out 2 to 3 weeks with a stress reaction in his leg, but Thursday will be 3 weeks to the day and he does not seem to be close to returning.
Meanwhile, It appears that the first time we will see Gooden will be on the Spurs next road trip when the Spurs go to Houston and Oklahoma city.

if Manu out we will need Gooden to play to get a W in Houston IMO
I think it was mentioned in another thread. It was an article from the Express News that included Pop saying something about Gooden probably suiting up for the two-game road trip.
Wow. Already depending on Gooden for W's is not good. Especialy in hes first game ever as a Spur
A win isn't depended on him but he would be needed for some scoring inside. An extra offensive weapon always helps.
Disagree..even without Manu we're a better team than Houston IMO
Probably, but ever since someone clued them in that T-Mac was not doing them a damn bit of good they've been playing much better basketball.
This is true...still think we're a better overall team. and the importance of this game is huge for us, and while it's huge for them as well, we always seem to win the big ones against Houston.
lakers are an easy team no need for manu to come back
That jinxed us.![]()
No way...we'll be fine....there's no jinxing here..lol
