that was epic
Great game tonight.
Very good job
Gooden was huge tonight![]()
He fits right in. I really like what I've seen so far and he should only get better as he gets more comfortable and finds his rhythm.
the big drizzle is going to fit right in.
this is a guy that had played 2 games in about 2 months before this game..and one of those games was for 4 minutes against LA..a guy that isn't in good basketball shape yet, and doesn't know the system fully yet..
impressive regardless, but even more impressive when you consider the cir stances..he gives us another option down low..he's a good shooter that can stretch out the D anywhere inside the 3-point line..he's aggressive and gets to the line..
his D isn't good, but it can't really be worse than Bonner's IMO..judging from what Cavs and Bulls fans have said, Gooden's individual D isn't bad, it's average..it's the team D where he's horrible and struggles..so that alone is an upgrade over Bonner defensively, and the rebounding isn't up for debate..
Manu and Gooden should have no problems co-existing..Manu is a solid passer that will be able to establish the PnR with Drew, and he'll be able to penetrate and dish..if Bonner can be sent to the bench with Kurt starting, our bench offense should be much better..
nice to see..
MB is goin Ron Ron in this thread.
Although I'd love to see him swatting the out of layup attempts rather than just bodying up on guys, at least he gives more effort on defense than Bonner at this point. We'll need them both playing at a high level regarding their specialties to compete against the elite.
A good addition by the FO.
Not what we needed on D (won't block many shots from the weakside, poor one-on-one defender), but a great scoring big for the bench, and a tough rebounder. He should help.
vs. LAC 03/27:
18 min, 6-9 FG, 14 PTS, 2-2 FT, 6 REB, 1 STL

It was a Gooden
one thing I can't help but notice about Gooden is that he tends to unnecessarily foul after making some defensive lapses. He should watch out for that.
