Good because Dallas is on a tear. Dallas 54-44 at the half.
Good because Dallas is on a tear. Dallas 54-44 at the half.
Dallas 54
Portland 44
End of 1st Half
Dallas had a great first half against the Blazers, taking a double digit lead, 54-44, against the Portland Trailblazers in the Rose Garden. As an 8th seed, Dallas is trying to make sure they stay ahead of the rest of the Western Conference and keep a playoff spot. Dirk Nowitzki finished the first half with 17 points and 5 rebounds while Jason Terry scored 15 points and pulled down 3 rebounds. On the other side, the Longhorn's own LaMarcus Aldridge scored 12 points and pulled down 9 rebounds while Brandon Roy scored 12 and added 4 assists. Portland is going to have to have another night like Monday in the second half if they plan on taking this game away from the Mavericks.
OK so Houston and Utah both lost tonight. New Orleans won. Denver looks like theyre going to win against OKC. Now we just need Dallas to beat Portland.
yep yep...stats are up.
Looking possible the way they're playing right now.
As much as I hate to say it I would rather see the Mavs win. I don't want that young and talented Blazers to get too full of themselves, especially after their blowout over the Lakers. I remember them going on a couple of long winning streaks last year. But, I hate like rooting for Little Markie and his team.
Portland has 23 losses, Dallas has 25. So unfortunately, we gotta root for Dallas tonight.
Yep. not many times we'd be rooting for Dallas or the Lakers. Must be that time of year again.
yep...but we had to root for LA already. Dallas isn't quite as bad.
That it is...lol
By the way good thread spursfan and nice litle recaps its more fun than looking the box scores ! Thanx
let's make it a lock for the 2nd place tmr
Not a problem bro...it's fun.
first the fakers, now i gotta root for dallas too!?!?
so first you punch me in the balls, then you bang my mom?
awesome.
You're funny Mugen.![]()
lol...next I'll get your sister pregnant.
Now Dallas is up by 11. Denver won, Houston & Utah both lost so it would be good to put some distance between us and Portland. I'm basing this on if we finish 2nd in the West we wouldn't play the Lakers until the WC Finals. The only thing is I don't like the Lakers having the 7th game in front of their crowd. Then again if we could sweep the Lakers...........ahhhh
Exactly..you forget one thing...if we get one win against the Lakers in LA, we take home court advantage away..it's that simple.
Go Mavs ! ty day go lakers and now go mavs... let the POs begin i'm tired of the reg season.
Can't help but throw up a couple of times today.
And we're going to get that win in LA. In fact maybe the first two if we get Manu back healthy and Gooden does what many of us expect him to do. The only guy I ever worry about is Kobe...especially in the 4th qtr. He can put up goose eggs all night long and then come through with 20 in the 4th. But, we shall see.
Dallas 74
Portland 67
Portland outscored Dallas 23-20 in the third to pull the game to within 7 points, 74 to 67 after 3. Spurs fans are hoping for Dallas to finish this game off with a W to drop Portland down a bit, giving them a larger cushion on an off night before a huge game against the Lakers. Dirk Nowitzki finished the quarter with 21 points and 8 rebounds while Jason Terry scored 18 pounds and added 3 assists. On the Portland side, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 points and added 10 rebounds while Brandon Roy added 20 points and dished off 4 dimes. The 4th quarter should be a tough battle for Dallas, as Portland always fights hard in their own building. Should be a very good finish.
But that's why we have Bruce..![]()
