Timvp has done the last few Laker blogs, so I had no intention of doing it anyway.Becasue I wanted to be the 1st to submit it

For the record, I am 9-1...including the Christmas blog and the OT thriller versus the Mavericks.

This game is not a big deal. The Lakers are a team that the Spurs can usually go out and expect to beat...The Lakers are 51-13, but they're just making their shots, which doesn't require any talent...again, not a big deal here. There won't be any need for trash talking or even celebrating when the Spurs win, it's just another day at the office for the Spurs....again, not a big game. Nothing personal against the Lakers, they're just not intimidating and aren't a threat to the Spurs. They beat us last year, but they just hit a couple of shots here and there, got some calls, and had a fake Finals appearance (which they lost).
This is a HUGE game for the Spews. The do not have that 2nd spot sealed up by any stretch of the imagination. They are playing the best team in the league at home. Spews have lost the last 3 games to teams that will make the playoffs in Dallas,Portland and Cleveland. Mangoo is not there to run like the animal he is. Its put up or shut up. This is one of those games.
Houston fans should shut up instead of putting up. Didn't they just get pwned by the Fakers yesterday?
unrelated note:
i was just watching the last seconds of the spurs lakers game with masons clutchy goodness, and i noticed on the replay that bynum was beaming! he was smiling or laughing or something right after masons shot!
it was rediculous. anyone else see this ?
A loss here really wouldn't mean much (no Manu, Gooden), but a W would be pretty sweet. FTL!

This is a big game for the Spews. No way around it. The win they are looking pretty. They lose they look just like the others 7 trying to make the western conference playoffs. They lose it shows the league the Lakers are heading to the Championship game.
No team. I like b-balll. Growing up in Dallas in the 80's its easy to say the didn't have a team.lol. Moved around alot. I like most teams and players.
I live in H-town now and I would never Rep the weakass Rockets... I laugh at everyone in Houston that thinks they are Championship Contenders year in and year out.

If the Spurs win/Lakers lose, it doesn't mean anything because it's a regular season game and the Lakers don't have Bynum.
If the Lakers win/Spurs lose, the Spurs are done despite not having Manu/Gooden in the game.
All the ESPN does, along with everyone else, is talk up whoever the 'hot' team is. Now everyone is on the Utah bandwagon bc they just had a good streak. I like coming in under the radar, we'll be there in end, as usual
ok. now finally I am starting to get the feeling right before big games. All I need is to get off work and start drinking. It's on!!
look at it this way, every year the ESPN talking heads pick San Antonio to win, we don't; and every year we come flying in under the radar we usually do very well. So i am pleased that we aren't their pick this year. It makes victory taste that much sweeter.
