Starting Gooden is bad. The Spurs need a few Bonner 3s to spread that court. Thats their most likely route to victory. If you're going to reley on big minutes from Gooden to get this team a win then you're right to write off tonight.

The Spurs, since the day TD set foot in San Antonio, have known that its all about ships.
What's TD's playoff record against PJ and the Lakes? It ain't pretty. You gotta go thru LA to win les and the Spurs don't have an answer.

The Spurs have a lot to prove against the Lakers and time is running out.

This game isn't on Mason and Bonner. While neither has played well, the fact is that Duncan, Parker, and Pop have the lionshare of the blame. Mason was forced to be the focal point of the offense at one point because he was on the court with Thomas, Udoka, Bowen, and Oberto. Thats a horrible ing position to put him in and Pop should have known better. When your struggling so much from the offensive end of the court you do NOT go to that lineup.

I mean wtf @ playing Oberto.
Damn, Manny and I on the same page about Pop's decision making tonight

I can't believe some people think this game is over already. We have a whole half to go. If Tony Parker starts hitting some shots and the role players keep playing as they are then I think we can get back in this game. Mason and TD are also playing poorly but I think they are less important to the Spurs offense which is what is letting them down most.

Tony more then ever this season runs the offense and when he is off we tend to lose. Let's hope he turns up his intensity in the second and the Lakers cool off a bit on those jumpers (and we can close out a bit better too heh...).

What's up with Timmy? I wonder if his knee is killing him or the Lakers are just playing damn good defense on him?

The blame is for sure on pop and parker. I noticed several times that parker had the ball either mason or bonner was open and he never even noticed because he was looking to shoot instead of pass. Thats something I think pop tells him to do and its annoying. I wish he would get his team mates involved in the game. The spurs play so much better when he's passing more.

I said Duncan should be aggressive before the game, I even went into detail..but after watching him the first half, I don't think he can be aggressive and sustain it..he looks like he has no confidence right now..

I don't think it's a physical thing, because he's been getting rebounds and moving fairly well on D..he looks like he's lacking confidence in his knee offensively..I don't know if he can step up and carry us in this game..

Tony has had games where he turns it around though, so maybe this will be one of them..that J that hit the side of the backboard was just embarrassing though, sums the game up well for me..

It's not going to happen if our big 2 can't get their foot out of their ass, but if the come Strong and bring it in the second half there is a definite chance.

Its like this that has me saying WTF Pop....Like seriously, that had to be the worst coaching move I have ever seen. Phil owns Pop and Tony

Pop does not have Duncan to lean on anymore, because he is hurt and older.

I disagree that we need Bonner to stretch out the offense..it would help, but Bonner is streaky as , he doesn't usually recover from starts like these..he needs to get in a rhythm first, and he's been horrible so far..I don't see the point of having him on the floor, he's scared of ODom..

Bonner is making me very sad yeah... Should just leave him on the bench imo. But I repeat, all the Spurs need is for Parker to pick up his game offensively in the second half and I think we will have a shot at it.
